Description
Nothing comes free, however, and wielding an artifact that's desired by forces far beyond his imagination, he must use wits, luck, and maybe some pluck to survive a manhunt orchestrated by the rulers of his new world– a pantheon of deities drawn straight from myth—the Olympians.
All he needs to do is make sure the person who witnessed his resurrection doesn't spill the beans, figure out how this cultivation business works, and... do some quests?
It could be worse.
What to expect:
A LitRPG with mythological gods walking about and making stuff hard for Luke in a cultivation-esque setting.
An easy to understand system with a reasonable number of blue screens.
Characters that aren't all remorseless killers, and at times are even friendly.
Updates will be a chapter a day, Tuesday through Saturday.

- tracervRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am really enjoying this story so far.
Luke is a good protagonist and I like how he handles his business. Not an a hole and very logical without being timid.
The world building is neat, and I like that mythical legends are seemingly the villains.
It's a quiet Sunday today so going to binge read this story for a while.
If you are in doubt, give this fun tale a shot. Cheers! - ApulRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've got a slight reading addiction and this story isn't helping. I was supposed to be working today but binged this instead. The progression is solid, the characters are likeable and fleshed out (for the length of time they are in the novel), and the writing itself is strong.
This one is worth your time. But for your continued employment, start on a Friday... - Ep1cRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0im not going to give any spoilers, but I highly recommend you give this story a shot. Its at least decently origional, there are no spelling errors, and the pacing has been pretty good. On top of all of that, there are a lot of updates, and the author seems really nice. Overall I highly recommend you give the story a chance!
- J NelkinsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0"Theos: Becoming a God Made Easy" is an enthralling tale that masterfully combines elements of fantasy and mythology, creating a unique and unforgettable reading experience.
The story follows Luke that after dying in a car accident, becomes a soul that merges with a valuable gem called "God-Seed," gaining the potential to achieve godhood.
He ends up finding himself in a new world called Theos where he takes possession of a deceased body and joins the Luminous Sky organization, which seeks godhood as well.
Luke tries to adjust to his new life while learning about the society's structure, rules, and duties, the importance of mana, and quite quickly begins engaging in missions and combat.
Style.
The author is very skilled in giving vivid descriptions, for example when he explains the Aether and the Luminous Sky City, transporting the reader into the heart of the story and making it easy to visualize the setting, demonstrating a descriptive and engaging writing style that brings the scenes to life.
The pacing is well-balanced, and the story's flow is smooth, allowing readers to delve deeper into the world with ease.
Story.
The plot is intriguing and filled with twists, turns, and suspense, giving readers a thrilling experience. The blend of mythology and contemporary sensibilities adds depth to the narrative, and in particular the God Seed and its merging with Luke's soul turns it into one of the most interesting mix of cultivation/reincarnation/isekai/litrpg fictions I've read.
Grammar.
Perfect, what else can I say?
The clarity of this story is brilliant, it helps enhance the reader's understanding of the story and its various elements, and this can be seen for example when the cultivation of mana and the merit point system are explained.
Characters.
The dynamic between Luke and Nefkha is engaging and contributes to the reader's understanding of their motives and the unfolding events, and massively helps in driving the story forward, with every other character (Mykonos - Jack0fheartRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Theos: Becoming a God Made Easy follows Luke, a man who finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world after his death. All in all, Theos: Becoming a God Made Easy is well-crafted and engaging, the characters are well-developed and interesting, and the world-building is top-notch. The author does an excellent job of balancing character development with action and plot, making the reader invested in each character's journey. I highly reco - JaysanerdRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book tells the story of Luke, who dies in a car accident and finds himself as a soul, being pulled into the afterlife. He is surrounded by other souls, and they are all taken to a world that he assumes is hell. He noticed he now has a Status Screen, which is similar to that of a video game. And he also has an inventory with only the God Seed, which is described as an artifact that guides the wielder in their pursuit of godhood.
The language used is clear and engaging, making it easy for the reader to visualize the scene. The dialogue is realistic and helps to build the characters' personalities. The story is intriguing, with the protagonist, Luke, discovering a new world and learning about the Luminous Sky Society.
The story is also well-paced and leaves the reader curious about what will happen next.
Unlike the main character, I feel like the side characters could benefit from a bit more depth, but this could just be me being nitpicky.
As for the grammar, I didn’t notice any noticeable mistakes so that’s good.
This is a good start for an exciting LitRPG story that feels fresh and unique, and the main character is likeable. I’m excited for what’s to come. - KinAkira1996Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Theos: Becoming a God Made Easy follows Luke, a recently deceased soul that inadvertently gets pulled into a demiplane and acquires a God seed, much to the chagrin of a particularly angry not-angel. As Luke lands on the island of Carim he is picked up by an Elder of the Luminous Sky Society, mistaking him for a powerful being.
Style (5/5): The writing style is fantastic and flows smoothly. Each chapter is brimming with vivid imagery that paints a clear picture regarding Luke's surroundings and the scenarios he finds himself in.
Story (5/5): The initial stakes are set up early on and Luke's possesion of the God seed makes for some interesting plot points. I am especially intrigued by Arke who is set up as a malevolent threat that Luke will have to face at some point.
Grammar (5/5): I saw no grammatical issues.
Character (5/5): Luke is a great character. He's written in a way that makes him feel very human, with realistic reactions to the situations he finds himself in. I like how he tries to maintain a reserved demeanor despite some stressful scenarios and his interactions with the supporting cast provide a lot of depth to his character.
I would highly recommend this cultivation novel because it takes time and care in setting up its world and characters. - Apollo149Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Theos: Becoming a God Made Easy: tells the story of Luke. It starts out simple enough, Luke dies in a car accident and finds himself as a soul which was being pulled into the afterlife. He is surrounded by other souls, and they are all taken to a world that he assumes is hell. Crazy stuff happens right before his eyes. Maybe Angels? Maybe gods? No spoilers, please.
Now he noticed there is a Status Screen, normal reborn stuff aka it is similar to that of a video game (totally fine, I love it. It fits within the style of storytelling). In his screens, he notices there in his inventory the God Seed! The God Seed is described as an artifact that guides the wielder in their pursuit of godhood
Overall 5/5: Now I am going to say, I am doing this as a review swap but I am happy I did. I have done a number of review swaps. Most of them are okay but I will say this story has me interested. I am going to be following this one for a while. 5/5 would recommend it.
The only thing that gives me pauses in recommending this is the extent to which the narration is third-person omniscient. There is a lot of telling instead of showing present in the first few chapters and it can feel like a bit of a slog to get through. If you are especially sensitive to that, then you can probably hobble through the story with just the dialogue and bits around the blue boxes.
Style 5/5: The style is good as well. It contains a lot of descriptions. I enjoyed the pacing, I would suggest adding some more hooks but overall good. The unsettling nature of every interaction and conversation sets the mood perfectly for the kind of story this clearly wants to be.
Character 4.5/5: The main character, Luke, is well-developed and possesses a unique set of skills -aka the God See-that are just waiting to be explored. His reactions to the challenges he faces are both realistic and heart-wrenching. The roommate part about his computer… great. The main character is well-fleshed out and acts as if this happened to rea - BorderlineMRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Seems like a great cultivation story so far, with the MC's cheat not even being a massive cheat perse, but moreso pointing him in the right direction. There isn't a massive amount of chapters released so far so I can't give a guarantee its amazing, but from the 27 chapters so far I have not been disappointed. Its given reasons for decisions and a motivation to actually get stronger, and seems to have ideas about the world/worldbuilding I expect to be revealed...eventually. The system also has hinted at a backstory of some kind, rather than just 'always existing', so that's a plus.
Would recommend, especially since the author seems to interact with us readers in the comments a bit! - DagNabItAllRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good. I was surprised that I never see this recommended. I adore the setting, cultivation + the myths of ancient Greece is really compelling. The protagonist is a really funny, down to earth guy, who I like as well. I think the motivations of other characters aren't one of the high points, but they are fine. The magic system is pretty decent too.
