The story is rather good, but jumps around too much which makes it difficult to understand what is going on. But there arent many historical fictions here and even less good ones, so I really hope you will continue and improve along the way.
And the Habsburg Dynasty was a very diplomatic one, so it would probably good to include some of the MC's diplomatic relations, for example alliances with other houses, trading agreemants and marriages [from what I understand he is the only one left of his house, so he should try to secure a political marriage]. ''Kriege führen mögen andere, du, glückliches Österreich, heirate''.
[sry for bad english and I hope the review was helpfull :)]

This is a negative review of this fiction so I will try to start on a positive note. I really like the premises for this story. Set in a well chosen time and place. It kind of resembles the "ring of fire" book series, but not too much.
Maximilian Von Hapsburg points out that history is more than the big events, it is also about the little things. This story has nothing of this. It does not even take general economics and resource management into account. The best example might be that he uses tar to pave the roads and have a watchtower every 200m. Where did he get the tar from, bought or produced. How many people was used and how long did production take. And then he guards the road with watchtowers every 200m. He has twenty guards, if there is one guard per tower he can have four kilometer of guarded road. This is only one example, but instances like this repeats itself.
The characters are bland. Some places the writer tries to make them deeper, but with little luck. A short snippet of their thoughts and actions is far from enough. The characters need to be fleshed out in such a way that if feels real. And more importantly they need to be more than illogical placeholders. Cliches are fine, we know them and can relate. But they need their own motivations and then act accordingly. For example, Joseph from England whom is the king's envoy and a jew, he would not be traveling alone. This is a powerful and åaranoid man. He will have a whole retinue of soldiers, scribes and servants.
The big problem in this story is the logic undermining the whole "world" it does not fit together. A small village begins major construction work. This does not fit. A village beginning with the crop rotation is entirely plausible.
As a last note I will say I have bookmarked this story and will be reading it going forwards and hope the writer continues. The setting is good, but it lacks in both craft and worldbuilding.

History isn't just the events that mark it, it's also the social and economical structures that underpin it, what you have here is a historical fiction whereby the major events are more or less accurate, but the legal, social, economical, structures of the society are all wrong. I understand that feudal society, especially south German ones are fiendishly complex. For example a single village could have a dozen different dues and privileges, owed to half a dozen different personage , whilst each individual family or household within said village will also have different dues and privileges. That's without including the church mind you.  This story shows none of that complexity, the society here is no different from that of any other LN set in a "medieval" like setting.
In the end this is a typical reincarnated LN but with big historical names thrown in, and no magic so far.
edit: I understand that this is a first attempt at writing, and that this review is harsh , but the intent is to inspire the writer to do justice to a fascinating era of human history rather than discourage writing.
