- wooblzRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Similar to the prior series, by standard of webnovel, I believe the story was written to an exceptionally high level. I think it stands out most in its world building, where the world feels like a world where super powers has existed rather than a world where only the MC has agency with their powers.
I chose to give this second story four stars as unlike the prequel, the mystique behind the world is to some extent lost. And even though its the nature of a sequel, it is nontheless a contrast from the first story where every chapter brings about new mysteries about the world.
Similar to the first story, I felt there were certain logical inconsistencies in the power scaling and nature of the powers, but I felt that was inevitable given the freedom given to the powers, and I do not believe it takes away much.
Another thing I wish was different was relative decrease in tension in the story. I can't help but compare to the first story and feel that the intensity has decreased.
Though it may sound like I have many complaints, I only do this because I felt the story is good enough where I read it for the story itself rather than an interesting concept that I haven't seen in a published book.
I was 100% recommend checking out this story, though, I suspect, if you are reading this story, you already have read the first story and need no convincing.
I hope the author comes back and writes more stories!
