The words used... I don't think I've even heard the word pickle on RR before. It is used so little on this site. Yet, here comes the author requesting for an person in the story to suck it.
Threw me off for a second. Which was great since I don't usually get new or old words thrown in my face while reading these stories. Really did set up personalities for me. While the wording was close to the same with each, it was great to still get a sense of individuality from them. 5/5

The world of The Wind Walker is ruthless and carefully imagined. It is an overall promising fantasy novel with an engaging story. The author excels in making the world feel dynamic through his writing. Some might feel a bit conflicted about this style of writing though - but I feel confident that nobody will feel disappointed with the story and the characters inhibiting it.
The Premise: The short one liner synopsis tries to catch attention by presenting to our psyche one significant event - children forced to work the mines. Now it all depends on the eyes of the beholder - is that one sentence enough to persuade you into reading a story?
    The Moment:
“What was that about anyway Zep? I never knew your ma had left you a keepsake?”
Zephyr looked up at his friend and finally a smile crept across his lips. “She didn’t."
Story: The story might feel simple from the synopsis, but it is anything but simple. The main protagonist is complexly crafted and reading about his journey of liberating himself from his unfortunate life has been suspenseful up to now. There are two different mysteries playing out parallely at this point. Very eager to know where all of this leads to.
Style:  The world is one of the more well crafted ones I have come across until now. The author has a pretty distinct writing style. His storytelling is dynamic and fluid. I felt like I was watching the story unfold before me, instead of reading it. This though is a double edged sword sometimes because it makes you think a lot about the abundant different scenes played out in each of the chapters. This is definitely not one of the 'light' stories and requires a certain amount of effort to take it all in, but in the end it feels worthwhile.
Grammar: There are minor writing mistakes, typos in some chapters. Some formatting issues. Apart from that I saw no fault that disturbed me.
Character: Awesome characters. I loved how the character of Zephyr has been developed up to this point.
    In conclusion, The Wind Walk

I'm trying to be fair and honest in this review, that's mainly because the mc might not be my type, so I'm trying to be objective. The story is actually great and has one of the best opening chapters I've seen in RR till now, give it a look and you will get what I mean, it hooked me straight away.
Style: it can take a while to get used to, but after that you can find yourself enjoying it easily and you find it drawing you in. I like how only parts and pieces of the mc's plans are shown before being revealed later on and also how we don't really know what he has in mind and what he's gonna do.
Story: I'm liking it, even though to be honest I'm enjoying the parts about the pirates much more than the parts about the mc, that's mainly because of a reason I'll talk about more in 'Characters', that aside the story in itself is good and well crafted as I said above with how the mc's plans are, they give a feeling as if the author has thought about it a lot and that the story is well planned ahead.
Grammar: I honestly haven't noticed any problems with the story for grammar, but I usually don't care much about that anyways and if I mention it that would mean that it's pretty bad.
Character: to be honest the characters are well crafted and don't feel 2 dimensional at all, each and everyone of them has a trait that set them aside from the others and makes them unique. Now the only problem I have with the story is that how the mc seems as if he's a bit dark? I mean that's just a personal opinion so I'm not letting it effect the review. You will see what I mean in the second and third chapter and how he seemed as if he was only using hi friends without caring about them, again there is nothing wrong with this, it's a normal type of personality that one can have while living in a place like where the mc lives, im actually only mentioning it here because I want to vent a bit😅🤣 so yeah the mc might be a bit dark bit it's well done and believable even if the author take it that way.

A promising story about a kid with street smarts trying to steal his way into a better life. It's set in an interesting world with evocative descriptions, so I think it's worth giving it a try.
Style: My reading was smooth. The style in general is descriptive without being bogged down with too many unnecessary details. Sometimes it gets a bit repetitive with dialogue tags, and I get the feeling of some distance from the POV characters. However, just because I wanted to be a bit more immersed in the MC's head doesn't necessarily count against the story.
Grammar: The grammar is fine, though there are mistakes with dialogue tagging. This is easy to skip over though, so I don't think it necessarily works against the story. My personal preference is to have italicized thoughts work like dialogue, with the tag following a comma to indicate what exactly is being thought. At times I'd have to reread a line because I realized it was a thought and not emphasis and vice versa. I'm also not sure where to put this, but the inconsistent spacing between paragraphs did make reading the story a bit difficult at times since I wasn't sure if the gaps are scene breaks sometimes.
Story: The synopsis hints at what the story will be just enough that when we jump right into the action, I have a good idea of what's going on and what the MC's motives are for doing what he's doing. I'm a sucker for street smart thieves, and this definitely feels like it'll deliver on that front in an interesting and unique way. At times, the story's pacing feels in-scene a bit too fast, but it doesn't work against the story in my opinion.
Character: I like all of the characters so far and I'm invested in watching them meet their goals. I get the strongest impression of Zephyr, the MC, and I'm rooting for him. I think he'll be a really fun character to follow.
Overall, I think this exceeds the standard of most RR stories in terms of a descriptive world, interesting characters, and a promising story.
