    The White Pegasus is a bleak story about the ship that looms overhead, promising destruction and yet said to hold hostages. An untenable situation looms, those below do what they can. This is a good piece that explores some complicated themes, but it does not linger or get preachy. The prose is good and the narration is clear, though it doesn't give as many answers of the situation as I'd like. That does seem to be intentional, but the sense of looming dread in this piece is well conveyed and it works.
