Grimson Black knows that families can be complicated. His father, Foster Falchion, is a world-reknowned terrorist, his brother Adam's the next Messiah, and his sister Viera once imploded a tree just by looking it because she didn't like how its branches were shaped.

Oh, and did he mention none of them are blood-related?

Armed with nothing but a sarcastic talking book and perfect eyesight, Grimson must perform his job as a Watcher, a recorder of history, while also trying to discover his past. Unfortunately, he ends up doing a little bit more than that when he starts unraveling the threads that make up the fabric of reality.
