    Overall 5/5
Overall the story almost feels like an immersive video game. With the quests to compete and the way the author details the world, I found myself thinking about how I would try to proceed in those situations. That’s the mark of a good story in my book.
    Character 5/5
The main character, Cael Breckenridge, is a loner, though it isn’t only by choice. He’s in the C-Grade class, which is where the institute puts the students with poor talent and it also seems like ones who have a poor chance of manifesting talent. At this point in the story, Cael is still struggling to improve, but that’s kind of the point of LitRPGs, to keep improving. Despite setbacks and shortcomings, Cael remains optimistic and strives to prove himself.
    Grammar 5/5
    No complaints here.
    Story 5/5
It started when an alien device did what it did… This might not be that story, but that was my first thought when Cael finds the device. It’s not a watch and instead of superpowers he gets quests, oh and there are penalties for not completing the main quest in time. Nothing major, just death. This leads to a race to fulfill the requirements of the main quest while still dealing with his low combat ability and money woes.
    Style 5/5
The author's writing style is engaging and descriptive, creating vivid imagery and a sense of immersion into this futuristic world.

It's a story which makes you feel great. If the title gave you Steam/Cyberpunkish vibes, then my dear friend you are partially wrong, this is an amazing LitRPG styled tale with the protagonist being the "Mechanic".
Currently, the story follows the typical 'grind grind grind' theme prevalent in this genre, which aligns seamlessly with the portrayal of our protagonist so far.
The protagonist embodies the archetype of being alone but not lonely, reminiscent of Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Peter Parker. If you appreciated that iteration of Spider-Man, you're likely to find the character of this Mechanic equally engaging.
The setting is a recognizable LitRPG-style urban, futuristic world, with the author infusing it with thier own unique elements. It feels familiar yet remains engaging and far from dull.
The writing style is clear and easy to understand, although there are a few areas where the grammar could be refined. Nevertheless, it does not detract from the overall reading experience.
The characters are alright, nothing much to say about them. You'll enjoy the interactions and the battles.
Coming to the battles, they are amazing. The fight sequences have been written with great details, you can easily imagine what went down that evening.
All in all, I'd say, if you like the LitRPG genre this one is the next read for you.

This story keeps me on the edge of my seat! It has great character development, plot, and backstory. The fight scenes are described so well that I can see them playing out in my head. There are a few grammar mistakes but a lot less than most books I've seen on the Rising Stars list. I don't even notice them!!
    Great Work man.

Style: While the author doesn't use a fanciful style, I believe that's a good thing in this case. In the story's format, his style of writing makes sure not to impede the content of his story, which allows other parts of it to shine. It is a great blend of expository, description. And from what I've seen in the first chapter as well, he was able to articulate action scenes extremely well too.
Grammar: Nothing much was wrong. Perhaps a few hiccups here and there but otherwise spot on!
Story: The story is well-written and also very well-paced. Each chapter does not seem to shove too much new content into your mouth while also building up on the previous chapters' content. The quests have a sort of novelty, with a bit of subtle humour blended in with Carl's inner thoughts. The introduction in the first chapter to perhaps Carl's incompetence also made us more curious about how strong he could get with the new system.
Character: While there is not much character development currently, his personality is consistent, and his intentions are well articulated so the readers know what his next moves will be.
Side Note: The Cover Art is fire.

This story offers an exhilarating start to a compelling LitRPG journey. The author skillfully combines elements of futuristic technology with the classic coming-of-age narrative, immersing me in a vibrant world where Cael Breckenridge discovers unexpected potential. The grammar is flawless, making for a smooth and engaging read. Character descriptions are vivid and well-done, allowing readers to quickly connect with Cael and his struggles. The urban, technologically advanced setting is perfectly suited, promising action and deeper mysteries. I am anticipating more from this series!

Here we have a nice mix of sci-fi action and our plucky protagonist crafting his way through a mysterious system to make high-tech drones to sell on an eBay-like marketplace site! Pretty neat. The stakes for building and selling these drones are death if Cael fails to get them done in time(!), so you know he has to get his butt in gear and focus on the task at hand.
There's plenty of panache in the way that both the anime-style action scenes and the intricate crafting scenes are rendered, so no complaints on style. And even though I noticed a few minor typos here and there, nothing pulled me outta the story.
I did feel like Cael as a character could've been explored a little more in the first few chapters. I get the sense that he's kind of a loner, really smart/detail-oriented, and historically not really great at fighting. But I didn't get a super good sense of his back story or what he really wants other than not to get killed by these brutal system quests! I guess he's always just so heads-down that I found myself wondering a little more about what his life is like when he's not busy cranking out drones. There are certainly hints of that here and there but I guess I'm just greedy as a reader!
I did enjoy the creativity of the whole crafting system—the metals, the components, the exchange rates, the stats, the way that I could already see Cael leveling up in his short time building stuff. If you're a fan of crunchy LitRPG-style systems, I have a sense you'll find yourself at home here even though this isn't your usual swords-and-dragons fantasy. In fact I think it's probably more interesting (at least to me) because it takes place in this richly imagined sci-fi/tech-y world. I was particularly interested in how the software coding component would impact the crafting side of things here. We only get a small taste of that in the first few chapters, but it seems like a ripe area to explore.
Anyway, give this one a shot if you're a fan of action and/or intricately ima

I like the story and MC however the narration of 1st person of Cael's thougths is not to me linking, but thats personal the system and setting have a 5 starnfrom me. I think the work is good and have a lot to give us readers. Hope that you keep up the good work and the story becomes better going forward.

have you perhaps read tempest of stellar war? this story seems similar except the mc is a fusion of the mc and the mech companies daughter.
sadly this story is not for me, the prose is awkward and the mc, despite his profile showing a high inteligence statistic, seems to make decisions every other chapter everyone in the comments groans about or outright slams them. i agree with them.

I like the concept, but the execution needs work.
Somewhat dull, simplistic prose -  approach this again and try to use your own authentic voice to make this YOUR story and rise a bit (or a lot) above generic.
Supposedly intelligent characters behave stupidly - this is a flaw common to new writers (and sometimes experienced ones). Keep your characters's actions and thinking smart and consistent. Give it a little think and use methods other than stupidity to advance the plot - you will be surprised how inventive your imagination can be if you just let it loose.
MC is too passive and unthinking now. He is weak with low mana, wants to be a warrior but does nothing extra to improve himself physically or to improve his mana. When he gets a system, he uses the first option he sees without exploring any other options at any point (at least as far as I read). Make him active and smarter
The virtual system and virtual combat are poorly explained and painfully dull to read. Sit down and think out your system, map it out in writing and make it clear in your mind - then convey it to readers. This will help with the combat too. Keep the story moving, do not drag out any one portion - again, this will help with combat and keeping reader interest.
Characters are undeveloped as far as I read. Develop back stories and lean into them. Let them live. Again, keep your characters consistent.
Have to say no to this one for now, but also have to say I would love to see another attempt.
Author, you have lots of potential. Writing is a skill and like all skills it needs practice to improve. Keep practicing animeball z. You have good ideas and lots of creativity and your skills improve with each story you write.

This series is a good read. Gives me The Mech Touch vibes, but I found as I read more and more things got repetitive. The MC works or trains, a quest is given where the consequences are all to over the top. No sense of real failure to learn from their mistakes. So 2/3s of the way through what's published I just got bored.
