I keep meaning to write a review for this story, but then I click the "next chapter" button instead. It's an engaging read.
The author is doing a great job building up the history and lore of the world before the main character reaches the titular Wandering Spire, which fixes one of the usual deficiencies in the tower climbing/dungeon running genre. You've got your evil kingdom, your ancient civilization, and a variety of elements that have the feel of a roleplaying game, but with details that feel unique to this story. I'm enjoying the magic system, which requires a combination of preparation, skill, training, and obscure knowledge to fully exploit. The main character's strengths, both in magic and physical prowess, feel earned. The author has described the work that she's put into her abilities with enough detail that a reader can understand why everyone doesn't go off to become an adventurer.
I'm enjoying the other characters as well. Side characters have personalities, the heroes are distinct and likable, bad guys are detestable, and the goblin is the best. I'm still early in the story so I'm expecting some more background for them, but none of the important characters has felt like a cardboard cutout.
So if you're looking for a fun action-adventure with a likable cast, then go ahead and read this story!

A very well-written story that I am enjoying or having the pleasure to read. I am fascinated to see the path and adventures this young protagonist will travel and experience. I can't wait to read more! And I will continue to follow this engaging tale as it unfolds with each new chapter.

Looking for an epic adventure with a heroine that has to start at the bottom and earn her scars as she solves multi-layered mysteries while also climbing a humongous tower of adventure, death, and magic?  Then Wandering Spire is the book you’ve been missing in your life.  I love the fantastical world and intriguing system of magic that Jeze navigates as a young adventurer.  She has many harrowing trials along her story that she must overcome and encounters a wide range of allies, mentors, villains, and monsters.  The path she walks is never what it seems but luckily she has an unlikely familiar accompanying her with sadistic interests, strange appetites, and once in a while semi-helpful yet crude words of advice?
Also, the detailed action sequences really gets to the meat of technical fighting as well as battle tactics. Overall, Wandering Spire is my new go to fantasy saga that satiates my hunger for tower crawling, magic, and intrigue.
