Description
From the moment of their birth, Espers - a subspecies of human born at random with enhanced strength, durability, and even unique individual reality-warping abilities - are closely monitored and restricted by the U.S. government, if not outright "disposed of". The life of an Esper is a brutal one; one of fear and subjugation and of always looking over one's shoulder.
Fall is one of nine government-sanctioned Espers - aPredestitigator, tasked with the hunting and killing of his own people. But when one of his assigned targets reveals to him an entire life long forgotten, Fall finds himself lost in the wake of his own tortured memories, confused and unsure of who he really is.
It's a terrible question to ask oneself, really -why do I even exist?

- TheOG_BunnyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Having read some of this author’s other work, this is definitely a fresh exciting new series. Chapter 1 immediately sucks us in as readers into the vibrant imagery and grim world-building Mjolng has come to be known for. No matter where you’re reading, these aspects immerse the reader in the world and make you feel like a fly on the wall. Every move is readable, and despite this review being posted just after chapter 2 was posted, the characters are incredibly fleshed out and real. This story has revealed itself to be a must-read authoritopian action romp that keeps a reader enraptured. You’ll be eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
We follow, so far, the story of an Esper (the term for those with abilities in this universe) who is re-exposed to his own past. Unable to cope with the truth of his past and his own actions, he flees to live a life away from everything he knows. But really, it’s all he knows how to do. Through him, we meet a whole cast of powered characters the author has begun to tease at the powers of.
