I was going to write a detailed review. But reading through all the other reviews, I don't feel I have anything else to add.
It is an amazing fic, not just as a fanfiction, but as fic in general.
There is so much here for everyone. I can't find glaring flaws.
The pace is average, I have seen fics move through content much faster and I have seen others go way slower.
There is enough time devoted to all characters that makes readers invested in these characters, caring about what would happen to them.
What I haven't seen anyone mention, is how amazing it is, that we don't know the true purpose of why the evil organization tries to achieve with all the attacks they had commenced controlling Legendary Pokemon. I love the mystery. I love that they appear human, intelligent and not just dark and evil. To me, how the Watchers are handled, is the highlight of the fic. Their identities are hidden and I am pretty sure, we have read about a few of them, hidden in plain sight. It could be a party member, or a friend of the party, or maybe some politician, a gym leader, etc. I like the whole guessing. I love that the author has not revealed their identities.

Overall: This story has been a delight so far, just what I was looking for. Lots of room for character growth, an adult with a good head on their shoulders and a first chapter that reflects a character worth caring about.
Story: So far, while just a few chapters in, we've been drip fed some lore, the character's goals, and the author has set up the story to breath life into the characters we've seen so far, and we've had story progression. I have enjoyed the story so far and the author has done a good job balancing the information we need to know while also keeping the story moving along smoothly.
Grammar: Great, no issues spotted anymore. The author is receptive to criticism, and what tiny errors found in a single chapter were quickly fixed.
Character: I enjoy the characters so far, and am glad to see vivillion getting some action time in a good story. The MC is slowly growing over time at a believable pace, and his new ally and her pokemon have been enjoyable to watch in their interactions, and does a good job balancing out the MC.
I look forward to reading more of the story, the author is doing a good job so far getting me invested in what happens next!

First of all, while there's a week inbetween chapters, each chapter seem to make up for it by giving you the 2 big Q's:
    Quantity pr chapter
    Quality of the writing.
This indicates to me that there's polishing being done
Characters seem well fleshed out and there's an emotional range and connection to all the relevant characters.
If you were one of those who watched "Game of Thrones" and rooted for "all the bad things" to happen to Joffrey Baratheon, then you might recognize the feeling, there are characters where you hope for their demise sooner rather than later, while there are others that might make you "feel their pain".
There's a well developed range of personalities that we come across, where none seem to come from a "cookie-cutter" mold, and even if we come across a stereotypical "young master" type of person, there are nuances to such a person and by golly will this be made clear in a manner that might remind you about the whole "judge a book by its cover".
While the story does happen in one of the most child-friendly universes of entertainment, this is not a "sharply colored, lustrous world" like we might experience from the cartoons, nor is hiding away any of the dark realities of life or the world itself.
Death, homelessness and orphans are but some of the things used to showcase how there's a dark side to the world, but our protagonist is trying to help where he can.
We're also getting to take part in his journey where he starts to work on his own dislike of pokemon, watch his personal growth on his journey as well as get to know more about him as the story progresses.
So far, this is not your standard "I hate these creatures and they must all die" stories where the hero wakes up one morning after being visited by a trio of ghosts to make his heart experience a touch of love, no this is a journey of self-discovery and exploration even if his intention is to take down a dark and insidious group of ne'er-do-wells.
Another thing is to not expect the protagon

This fic gets so many things right, its worldbuilding is amazing and believable, much like a real-world Pokémon if it existed. The original region is also a highlight; a beautiful map at the start of each chapter made it as beloved as any established region, overcoming my dislike for original regions due to the inability to easily look up locations.
The writing style is appreciated for its simplicity and directness, with minimal grammar mistakes that are promptly corrected.
The story is captivating, featuring a thrilling cat-and-mouse game between the protagonists and the evil organization. The refreshing separation of the main cast, each pursuing different goals, and their interactions are particularly enjoyed.
Both human and Pokémon characters are exceptional, with the main-main character feeling particularly unique. However, the second main character's wild transformation journey is a personal favorite. The Pokémon are also lovable for their distinct personalities.
The romance is subtle, though I would have preferred slightly more and different pairings. The author seems to intentionally go for unorthodox, finding it more interesting, especially in the dialogue. There are no sex scenes; everything fades to black. If that's what you're looking for, this isn't the fic for you.
So far the combat has been enjoyable. I appreciated how the author illustrated the distinct battling styles of each trainer, refraining from judging who was right or wrong, and highlighting their different strengths in various areas.

You have a really nice story going. I like it that it involves adults. I am already liking the two main characters a lot.  It looks like you have a plan and the story moves at a very nice pace.
Your map, and the theme you have for your fictional region Tenera is astounding dude. I already like your map better than any map gamefreak has ever made. The monorail idea connecting all the cities finally gives a legit region why the hell are we walking everywhere. Just by looking at the map, it inspires mystery and adventure to me, I am so eager for the characters to visit each and every one of those locations depicted.
I don't know what else to say. I like that lore is being fed to us slowly, and that so far the characters that look like they are important to the story, is a very small number so far. I hate it when some writers give us too many important characters in opening chapters.
I have a thing also I want to say, but I will write it as comment on the end of the chapter so people might want to reply to me. Maybe they will like the idea.

This Pokémon fanfiction is unique, not for its lack of established characters from the games or anime, but for its exploration of the Pokémon world with a touch of realism. The author attempts to explain the mechanics of Poké Balls, Pokémon storage, and human-Pokémon communication through invented science, and I appreciate the time taken to establish consistent laws and rules for these elements.
The characters are a delightful departure from the ordinary, consistently surprising me with their actions. The main character is particularly unique. He's an ex-soldier with a sharp wit, a complex moral compass that allows him to bend rules against villains, but also a genuine desire to help others. His transformation is compelling to witness as he becomes more integrated with the group. A new, persistent smile now defines him, a characteristic he seems to have unknowingly adopted. The depth of his love for the people around him, and the way they affect him, is so clear, especially his powerful connection with one particular group member.
The battles in this fic have been great, particularly those not involving gym battles, which have been the weakest. The great battles so far showcase the characters commanding all their Pokémon simultaneously while dealing with threats, offering a refreshing and well-executed experience. If you're looking for multiple trainer battles, this fic isn't for you, as its battles primarily focus on survival. Gym battles serve as training and provide residency benefits.
His writing is good and easy to read, with solid structure. While not extraordinary, it's rarely necessary to reread for comprehension. Although some users have reported minor grammatical errors, I haven't encountered any myself. Then again, I don't usually read a chapter on the day it's released.

“The Vivillon Effect.” It calls to mind the idea that a single butterfly, flapping its wings in South America, influences hurricanes off the Gulf of Mexico. The idea that seemingly insignificant actions can have massive effects, up to and including the patterns of a natural disaster. For the (likely very few) uninitiated, Vivillon is a butterfly Pokémon, generally considered insignificant. This title was not chosen at random.
From the first chapter, the natural disasters that are legendary Pokémon make their presence felt. This world has evolved in a way that feels like a natural reaction to the possibility of a living hurricane attacking anywhere, anytime.
There is too much to say about this fic. The lead character is competent, interesting, and desperately needs professional help. Every piece of worldbuilding from the organizations to the landscapes feel like natural extensions of the Pokémon world. The tone is somber, mature, though never indulgent. The story peels back the layers of subtext in the title, and even the page image and regional map wink at secrets in plain sight.
Each of the above points could be a paragraph in themselves, but I see no point in sloppily rehashing an excellent story. The Vivillon Effect pushes the space of Pokémon Fanfiction into genuine adult literature, with a story that could only be told through the world of Pokémon.

It's a breath of fresh air to find a story so much different than the norms these days.  Ignoring all the rules professional writers try to tell us as a must.
The story is mysterious, has its own pace with characters who seem so real like they stepped out of our real world. The biggest plus is that all the Pokémon have their own personalities. And the original regions and unique world building, the fictional politics and intrigues. So far it seems to be that there is not one specific villain, which makes the plot more layered.
I did not play the games too much just watched the anime, so my knowledge of the lore is not that deep but to me the authors knowledge seems flawless.

This story is written well but I have issues with the actual content.
It is mostly in the sense that things aren't actually thought through fully. From the very first scene things are just wierd. A man goes from swimming to pulling a rifle out of his gym locker.
To then running back through the gym to the exploded window to fire a shot that drives of a legendary pokemon while everybody else is just running around like a headless chicken.
My problems with this scene are many things. First weapons contained in gym lockers the weakest locker in the world and that this guy just takes a rifle with him everywhere in a major metropolis and doesn't store it in a some safe locked case.
To the fact he runs barefoot to a broken window. Ignoring the fact the floors are probably littered with glass and he would definitely be cut to peaces. To the fact with a single well placed bullet he drives of a legendary pokemon. If it is that easy to just drive off a legendary then how did it get to the middle of one of the biggest city's in kanto without anybody knowing. And shooting the thing.
It's just doesn't make much sense.
