The Villain is On a Break

If you were able to see how your path would end, would you have the courage to change yourself. Ares Nightshade realized that he was just a minor Villain in a novel who would be used as a scapegoat and die a dog's death. A normal person would reflect but Ares decided to take a break. Let's just get stronger so I can survive the world disaster. Everyone is confused especially the main characters. Isn't he supposed to be a Villain?
