Description

One day, deprived of the internet Vesper ventures out from her parent's basement into the outside world. Only for things to go horribly awry when she is exposed to a glowing mystery goo and her life changes forever. She gains super strength, endurance, speed, and even regeneration! What could possibly go wrong? Well... everything really. Vesper mutates into a monstrous wasp creature, though her mind remains somewhat intact. She struggles to suppress her new instincts, cravings for meat, and hold onto her crumbling humanity. No longer human, Vesper joins the ranks of the other extraordinary people known collectively as Supers. The so-called Heroes and Villains.

Thus starts her adventures through the mysterious, dangerous, dark, fantastical, silly, lewd, and at times downright insane world of Supers. Will she claw her way out as the Hero Bronson City needs or will she give in to her darker half and become the Villain that makes it bleed?

(18+ gore, sexual content, cursing, drug use, yuri, yaoi. Sex in various forms, mental and physical, though not overly descriptive except in erotica chapters.) Erotica Chapters will be labeled as Interlewds and have a warning of the content at the start. Mostly dealing with Vesper's inhuman needs and how her mentality changes over the course of the story from human morality to that of a Vespidian and their parasitic nature.

I have to say just picked up this story yesterday and couldn't stop. Who doesn't like a crazy, mutated, and horny bug lady with a host of "almost" friends that want to dissect her??? Love the diverse characters, their views, and how the MC isn't just some uber badass that rapes men and some how beats all those that are better than her by some fluke plot armor.

I was little bit hesitant at first because I am a hard core fantasy but now I see it as one the most amazing stories on royalroadl as it perfectly blends philosophical themes, character change I mean good character growth where unlike a psychopath the character hesitates during early kills the story and characters are what make this story feel like a great anime and something I've read multiple times

If you were to ask me to list out the objective best 5 books on the site, I would be wrong, because literature is subjective. I for one can't stand the combination of tags: Male lead, Harem, comedy, and romance without the addition of either the satire or genderbender tags. I also find it very easy to hate Wuxia, and I burned my self out on xianxia last year on wn.
coming back to my original train of thought, while I may not be able to objectively list out the top stories on the site, I can name the most passionately constructed and well executed stories told by our awesome authors.
The work with the most effort and dedication put into the exact mechanics of the world and the subtle character traits that let its inhabitants feel real, is one Midara: Requiem. the world and its inhabitants began as a open world rpg, and are better fleshed out than anything I have seen before (Tolkein excluded, that was quantity over quality). The book follows one of the many paths that the player can follow, and whenever there is a choice that can affect future plot points, it is left to the audience to decide via poll, and he never skips a beat with what's next, no matter the choice made. It is easily in the top 10 fantasy worlds I've experienced.
Another of the greats is DocteurNS's HTTYP, a hilarious genderbend comedy with a clinicly insane protagonist who is also the most feared player in the most popular vrmmo, leaving wakes of destruction as he passes. The comedy is master class, but that isn't all. Outside of the game, the main cast suffers from many kind of mental and emotional issues such as insanity, rape ptsd, nymphomania, and even mild kleptomania.
some of the other Greats are Metaworld chronicles, Mahou Shojo Magical Chaos, and super minion.
"But wait, this isn't a review for any of those? This is Vespidian!" you may be thinking, and you would be correct. Vespidian too, is one of the greats. Between its action, charcter interaction, and greater narrative, Vespidian is not

This story is one of the best I have read in a while, it breaks the typical tropes of this site of reincarnation & transportation and adds a whole new element to narrative. If i had to compare this story to any other then that would be Worm, a realist superhero novel about a girl who controls bugs that gets villainized. When I started reading this story it had a similar resemblance to the style of writing, though simply more lewd. I wonder if it was used as a reference? (author-chan plz tell me!!) Either way, this novel has a great element of surprises, and its not really clear where vesper will end up, but that makes it more interesting, the uncertainty of life .

I simply adore this writing style, its descriptive but not plain, it keeps you on your toes. Unlike novels who describe thing to little or too much and too blandly, the descriptions are fun and you experience the world around you like you are there yourself. The tone of the novel is set very appropriately, it is hilariously lewd at times but also serious when needs to be, there is a good balance, the style so far has been pretty consistent, not drastically changing to put people off but not staying the same throughout to bored the reader.

The story is fantastic, you can't really see what is going to happen in the future, in turbulent times you get a turbulent story. The narrative flows well and you see a lot of unexpected tropes, for example everything about Verpers character design screams villain but instead she is trying to be a good guy (similar to worm). The world itself is well explained, it is beautiful described, so you understand the causes and reasons why the thing are happening the way they do. I would say that the story was planned to a terrifying degree, it has the characters outlook and you have roughly the same degree of knowledge of the world that she does. Basically this story is great and I love it.
Style: He did a story with a lewd AF wasp monster female nerd character with super powers actual sex and gives no shits about getting too dark. Aka this mans got the largest testicles ive seen on this site and its a breath of fresh air to me.
Story: I like the story, is good. I dont mind the pacing unlike others Im just here to enjoy the ride~ also the inrigue of "whos really the good guy?" and all the behind the scenes stuff is a good enough actual plot for me Im just here for Vesper ;3.

Character Score: Well you see- VESPER IS LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER THAT HAS EVER EXISTED EVER. SHE IS BASICALLY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF MY MIND TOOK PHYSICAL FORM AND I LOVE HER. She is extremly amusing, *and her sex scenes very juicy ;3* , she is super badass and... she is a god damn wasp girl. Seriously every other non human protag is like. Really. This story is wild. I mean that in the best way.
The writing itself is chaotic but I feel a lot of that is the author's intent as the main character is pretty close to, if not completely, insane. I absolutely love nonhuman leads, the stranger the better! And there are plenty strange things going on here. Highly entertaining and a definite recommend.

I an probably still dropping this, because it is too gloomy and I feel like every second character is a psychopath.
