- ThiostanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As a military sf reader and writer I do grow tired of the USA centric militaries and history. Mr. Baker seems focused on India. So frequently people don't seem to realize that other military forces have long traditions and histories, with different ranks and ways of doing things. He starts out with modern India and then goes back for a fascinating look into another culture. This is a great and refreshing. Thank you!
- M Harold PageRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I like what I've read so far. It's as if Dan Brown or Graham Hancock were writing Military SF.
It's an intriguing setting! Last time anybody did something like this, I think it was Lin Carter's Thongor books... and they were somewhat different. I love the idea of a secret history.
Looking forward to reading on. - GrodouRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Great read so far as I'm not a regular sci-fi aficionado. Cant help wanting to see the dots connect. Interesting approach of military action where ladies talk the talk and tank the tank ! Cultural angle and ethnic references are quite refreshing and original. Will eagerly encourage further development and publication.
Thumbs up so far.
