Description

Gaia wakes up in an unfamiliar world. She'll need to get used to an unfamiliar body and a world of magic, classes, and monsters. She's going to need good companions and even raise some of her own. All while adjusting to a Tamer class.

Join Gaia as she raises unknown creatures and forges a path of her own. She'll travel through this new world and more while trying to survive. Which, is easier said than done, when she can't directly deal damage to anything.

Chapters will be released every Saturday.

I can't quite place my biggest gripe with the story, but I know for certain that it fails to really flesh out anything past a surface level of general understanding or detail, whether that be when it comes to characters, style, or story/plot/ lore.

A story shackled by fate.
The novel is called the unwanted tamer but that can easily be taken as a mislead seeing as our Mc Gaia, (Aka, Kaizer- but who cares about character origin stories) who is technically
A 'Summoner' who doesn't really "Tame" any of her summons. "Tames"/Summons who she supposedly sees as her children, but that doesn't make sense when their treated as nothing more than service animals, walking aids/mounts, and emotional support animals.
I would consider this a slice of life adventure story or an attempt to be one, if only the Author would stop glossing over the important details (which would help create subplot) subplot that would help fill these hollow characters (characters with so much potential.)
Style: 3.5
Mmmh, I love a good Lit-rpg fantasy sandwich, I love suspense, I love adventure, and I love characters who take the road less (likely) traveled. The Unwanted tamer has that (had that, past tense), but just before you reach the climax that sets the tone of the story, it loses its momentum, and its half-hidden flaws start to become more apparent. In my opinion, the lit-rpg essence of the story slowly turns into a rarely used gimmick.
Grammar: 4- 3.7
As for grammatical errors, there are few, the novel is easy to read so far, I like that about it- I love that about it! Not too big on flavor words, but that's fine, we're not here for word salads, and state of the art diction.
Character: 3- 2.7
We get no backstory whatsoever, no details to flesh out who these characters were or are outside of currently being in the adventure party. The events that led up to them joining the party, the events that lead to romance. (Barf, how poorly
