- BarokRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Lets get this straigth. I think this fic is one of the best fictions RoyalRoad has, and I am nearly everyday on it.
SPOILER
Story: Amazing build up,nice and slow worldbuild, takes the cliche hero-whos-parent-dies and makes it his bitch, making it so that the MC is still a breathing, living humand, and not some revenge-fueled Monster who has nothing on his mind thatn revenge.
Characters: Extremly live-like, realatable, and espacialy, not sidecharater yes-sayer that just do what Mc wants, with own ambition and backstorys, which are slowly and steady unravelt in the story
Grammar: Haven't find a spelling mistake to this day, mabey because I was to immertserd, what is just another point. The story flows very good, and you can't get enought, I wake up in the morning hoping for a new chapter
Summary: When you got this far in my review, why aren't you already reading??!!! Ata boy, get to it, hop hop!!!

I was very pleased that I did. The byplay between characters and pacing is excellent and very amusing. The flow and pacing is excellent and very natural. I was absolutely sucked into the novel and when I hit ch 20 I was a bit annoyed that I ran out of this wonderful gem. I would definitely recommend picking this one up.
I did see some typos and some punctuation errors but not enough to be jarring. The use of flashbacks, which is a writing technique that can go wrong very easily, was used in such a way I noticed but it was enriching rather than annoying. The author is doing a great job of showing the system in action and not describing it in a way that is obvious to the reader, a rather difficult thing to do. I like the system genre but a lot of them use the system to much and this author is using it to tell a story about characters rather then the system, which is a refreshing change.
Enjoy your reading as I will as well. Hope this helps. - Nomad1791Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a basic review. Up to chapter 34 it's been a solid read, well written very few grammatical mistakes. Main character is easy to like has a life beyond being dark and brooding but definitely has the dark side too. World is still being build but very vibrant side characters pop out and don't feel like puppets or stilted. Looking forward to see how the mc progresses and evolves he starts out with a power if consider semi broken but not OP
- Shadow1400073Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a great novel. First it is rather u iaue in its approach of the MC allowing us as the reader to focus more on the action and the development of the story/ characters. To be honest the book is well thought and well done. I'm hoping that the author will continue to write and won't leave us the reader waiting 15 days for more of this good story sooooo read it is all I can recommend.
I now have to keep writing for more words so what to write about. Well I wonder where the author will take us into the future because he has written a few hundred chapters in advance and has an enormous backlog to edit and post so hopefully we get more chapter dumps to allow us to read more of the novel. So yeah there will be a steady stream of chapters for this novel which is good really good. The author does focus on the whole and the plotallowing the reader to find a direction for the novel. Each part of the novel is focused and there is no wandering trying to find a plot point. The story in itself flows naturally and as the world continues to unfold will begin to create tension. - SugarBums96Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I dont usually give reviews so please forgive the lack of form and structure to this review..
The story starts off with a part of the MCs past and provides a background to the world. Then theres a timeskip to the present with some flashbacks to provide the readers with a summary of what happened the years skipped. The characters are well fleshed out and dont act like they're simple robots. It is rare to find a novel on this site where you actually care about the side characters and this happens to be one of those novels. This story is unique and doesn't simply rip of other litrpgs that take place in a fantasy version of Earth. There is some adult content (blood, gore, sex scenes), however that is not the main focus of the story. The romance doesn't come out of thin air but is something that's led up to and doesn't have any awkwardness to it.
Keep up the great work author 👍
Please forgive the rest of this review cause I need to reach 200 words...

Why was that the only thing they didn't censor??? - chameleon01Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I loved reading this book so far! It already has such a good storyline and premise, and I can’t wait to see where it goes. The characters are so interesting and feel like real people who you actually become invested in. I also loved how the story progresses and the jumps in time are really cool, especially when it all came together at one point. It’s an original idea and the twists and turns that you don’t expect are what kept me hooked- from the first chapter I couldn’t stop reading. I’m not usually much of a reader and it takes a lot for a book to keep me engaged, but this one was so easy to read and I’m already wanting the new chapters to come out! It will be interesting to see how the characters develop and what kind of adventures they are taken on throughout the plot. Predominantly I'm looking forward to how the main character evolves, because the author has built up such a strong character and backstory for him.
The author is regularly updating the chapters so it will be a good story to follow. I would definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to see what happens next. - rottenpotatoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is my first review so cut me a bit of slack. Of the 33 chapters that have been released so far the story has been a very enjoyable read. The story takes place in a world that is a combination of earth and a fantasy world with a bit of mythology, your typical use of magic, the addition of a myriad of new races, and a system (a lot of other stuff obviously but these are what stood out to me in the story). I usually come across stories like these where, for some reason, a god or entity decides to make all electronics useless and impotent. However, that does not happen here, its straight up sci-fi fantasy. Which is cool, there are a few instances where this take on the setting becomes apparent in the interactions of the characters, as well as explanations which would require information dumps. One example was the currency. Instead of having to explain how much bread one bronze coin could buy and make a comparison to earth, the author could get away with simply converting it into dollars. Theres a lot of other small minor details but it's noticeable and simple, something i've come to appreciate. I also enjoyed the pace of the story, and how well it flowed. Not once did I have to stop to re-read a sentence or paragraph due to any mistakes. The chapters feel well thought out and left me wanting for more. And, talking about mistakes, I think I only spotted handful of grammatical errors since the start of the story so it's very well written to say the least. However my only problem with this story are the characters. They're not bad per say, however, they're a bit........dull, for a better lack of term. Most characters introduced have had distinctive personalities (which is a blessing when trying to remember names) but so far, its been just that. The only person whose had any complex characteristics is unsurprisingly the main character, and has only recently made slight progress with some inner problems. The characters are written well but I just feel like there's defin
- TheEarlofBronzeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Without going into spoilers, I'd say that if you're looking for a dnd-based power fantasy with cool combat, decent characters and a fairly intersting world (from the little we've been shown so far) then I'd happily recommend this.
If you have problems with stories that have somewhat poor pacing, notable (and so far unjustified) power-creep, and little emotional investment... Well I'd still say give it a try, it's a fun read, but this story may not be for you.
Definitely one i'll add to the ol' follow list as i'm curious to see where this ends up going, which is decent praise in it's own right. Hope the author gets his feet under him a little more. Fingers crossed! I suspect we've not seen the best this author has to give us yet. - CiellandrosRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It's a mostly interesting story so far, but it definitely suffers from a certain amount of writing what the characters think or feel instead of showing it via dialogue, action, or even just their vision when taking in certain things.
While it's not gotten so bad I've stopped, it definitely sucks me out of the story when I read some sections just stating things. It's not something that can't be fixed, but it's kind of up to the author to go back through and spend the time to get it into something better which will probably detract from the chapters advancing the story. An editor, or at least a proofreader might fix some of it, but usually it takes time and practice to get good at it.
The other main issue is the main characters somewhat random personality and actions. There have been a handful of occasions that didn't make much sense to me. Now some of it might just be that he's "immortal" so it messes with his world view, but I'm more inclined to believe that the author bent the characters to fit the narrative, rather than the characters shaping the narrative.
I made a few notes on parts that irk me in the spoiler below, but you may be able to ignore them. Hard to tell til you get to some of them.
There's a lot of "romance?"/smut sections that just don't quite work out, and in general the main heroine goes from being an interesting character to kind of flat and uninspired with a staggering amount of whiplash. The recent chapter that suggests her mother might be interested in him is also rather badly written in that vein.
It basically ties in with the previous issue, but is even more obvious. I don't mind a bunch of women super into the main character if that's the way you want it, but at least try to make them interesting supporting characters, or at least don't botch it so badly that I think to myself, wow, what an interesting two dimensional masturbatory tool that is. It can almost appear human like on occasion with actual dialogue and character sometimes.
There's - GraveltonRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Warning: This review is going to be somewhat critical. I admire anyone who can write and then muster the courage to put that writing out there for all the world to see and critique. That said, holding back is just going to leave the author not knowing what they need to focus on and improve.
Also: I really, really dislike what the volume of badly written fiction out there is doing to readers - ruining their own understanding of what proper grammar and sentence construction should look like. One or two stories aren't an issue, but there is so much on RR and KU and elsewhere that it's become a self-reinforcing cycle. A rant for a different time, perhaps.
In any case, I don't like writing negative reviews, but I feel I owe it to other readers to let them know of issues as I see them, so that if they choose to read on, they are making a fully informed decision about that.
--- The review, brief as it is ---
The setting for the story is an interesting take on the magic apocalypse concept, but the writer's poor grasp of grammar and vocabulary keeps breaking me out of the story.
Story:
Several decades post-apocalypse, a team working contract jobs. Not going to delve into spoiler territory, but they have a mix of abilities and some effort is put into backstory for a few of them. Some of the abilities are unique and clearly meant to be a focal point for the plot.
I stuck with it for as long as I could and I'll say this, it looks like the author has a direction they want to take the story in that could be interesting, but I can't bring myself to keep slogging through the malformed prose to get there.
Characters:
Generally shallow development but there may be more work on that past the point I read. As it was, I read pretty far in and don't feel like any of the characters grabbed me. A few characters have some backstory and insight into who they are provided, but for some reason they aren't catching my attention enough for me to want to follow thier adventure further.
