The True Endgame
Community Rating
Description
What defines endgame content? Is it raiding epic dungeons to take down the strongest bosses there are, or is it facing off against other players to climb the ladder and become the top PvPer? Is endgame content gathering materials and crafting the strongest and most exotic equipment that there is, or is it all about playing the market and amassing more wealth than everybody else? Some people even argue that fashion and minigames are endgame content!
Ryouta has already done all of that. Having spent most of his life playing MMO after MMO, he now finds himself wanting to live a virtual life that is far more relaxed and casual than what he is known for.
To Ryouta, the true endgame is fishing.

- Barret16Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0only 6 chapters in (2.4) and i'm already hooked and waiting for more. This is exactly the kind of light hearted and casual lit-rpg i've been looking for!
Edit: as of Chapter...202?
I still maintain that this is a wonderful story. The main thing that struck me that i felt i should add to this, is the Harem faucet of this story.
Spoiler: Spoiler
The way the whole idea about how a harem be could set up in a way that would work, ACTUALLY work is wonderful, well put together and interesting. Not adding the childhood friend because she didn't fit, is wonderful (not the reason for her not fitting, but the writing of it into the story).
The MC riding a bit high on the emotions of having a harem in the first place (well, sharing a harem ;-) ) then being half struck down to earth when realizing that at the end of the day, people are people, and need more than a basic surface examination. Brings the story and character building to the next level. While also making me think:
Between this story, outlining multi-person relationships in a different perspective, and (for me) the book series The Kingkiller Chronicals by Patrick Rothfuss outlining an entire civilzation with a very different (and possibly more sensible) outlook sexual proclivities and child raising gives me a perspective I lacked previously.
PERSPECTIVE! This is why I read books, stories, and articles: To broaden it.
Thanks Ace, for the perspective. I eagerly await each chapter.
-Barret - JerichoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Review as of Patch 6.0 (will update as I read)
Overview of the Story:
The True Endgame revolves around our MC's journey into a new game that is unique. The game doesn't show a status screen, Skills, Stats, a Character Sheet, or anything else. This game, made to feel and be treated like reality, allows for a wide range of play and adventure. The game itself is not the only thing unique, as the MC isn't about conquering the game world (not yet at least). Instead, it revolves around adventuring and exploring the game world in a fun, eccentric, and comedic manner with the MCs two past friends and a developing crew of new friends. Still, on his journey the MC and his two unique older friends are placed in situations that give way to their past deeds in game. Deeds....of an infamous nature.
Spoiler: Spoiler
THIS IS A SPOILER! Nothing massive, but it gives details of the story.
The story is a harem and the author makes that very evident. I will say that is is a slow-building harem story that is very enjoyable and likable. Additionally, the author loves to throw quirky and unique characters into the mix. These character might not be to your taste. The MC watches hentia, is clueless around women, is a nerd about anima and games, etc. One of the side character is gay and openly lewd in a playful manner. It may not be your cup of tea, but don't knock it before you try it is all I can say.
About the Story:
It is slow paced. Meaning it isn't constant action. Even more importantly, it doesn't have a character status or game messages that tell you what is going on. You actually have to read and not skim over.
It is light-hearted and funny. Not about a badass MC (not yet), but rather about a player's adventure's. It is much more realistic, but also super endearing and enjoyable to read.
The characters are unique. The MC is a commonly trophed character, but one that is embraced, and honestly, super easy to connect with and like. The supporting characters are all also likable (varies - Makata PlumaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm just rating this based off of my own enjoyment.

That is all, thank you for wasting your time. - RedmagewtRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.01. All of your stories, not limited to but including this one, are awesome. Especially but also not limited to CORE.
2. Your comments on thighs in the postscript of chapters.
3. Your addition of Collarbones to what i shall hereafter refer to as 'the list of greatness and best-things-eva.' Alongside previous mentions of thighs.
4. Because you probably thought i was kind of person to actually stick to something i previously stated.
TLDR: you is bes. You keep do you, imma read and giggle at the good bits. - Rye_RyeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Lately i am looking for a good read where plot progresses not that fast and not that dull to the point it became too bland, you see im tired reading constant warfare plots of novels where mc battles here and there(i think u being weak on battle scenes was not a negative perk for me). Novel phasing on its course is good ,atmosphere for me is soothing to read and the way you make the romance pace not that fast i should conclude that when other girls gets pop up you wont forget the girls he conquered already(i hate author forgets the conquered harem members and lack screen time). By the way i hope some how you make doujinshi of your char different from main plot like tortured or brainwash heroines by villains, that's just some examples. And cant wait your smut scenes where its connected to main plot, im still reading early chaps tho. Keep up the good work and hope novel lasts longer as what you depict it to be. I do wonder if you somehow publish this will you publish the out of the main plot doujins?like some bonus pages for buying the book
- FlandaddyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0STYLE: It's a Dubbed Light Novel.

GRANDMA: IDK i cant spel
CHARACTER: This novel contains a lovable cast featuring:
A Cripple
A Rock
Legal Loli
Busty Tsundere
A Gay Trap
An Angry Russian
Forgettable Guy
Forgettable Girl
And more to come!
Overall this is a good read worthy of this 5 Star (You had 1). - thegodforceRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Alright, so this is my first long review, but I figure that this book really deserves it. So lets do the ol' breakdown. On writing this, the most recent chapter i've read is the one just released, Volume 3 part 41.
Style: The style of writing here is pretty smooth. Sure it's an obligatory harem novel, but I can't really judge you too hard for that. My only complaint is the way the characters all fit a certain stereotype you can find in japanese manga/anime/hentai/whatever else. I feel like going out of that stereotype would do the book some good, but it's not a requirement. However, one of my definitely favorite things in this book is how often I find myself laughing out loud. I'm normally one who can keep themselves laughing internally, but I find myself breaking out into fits of laughter at least once per chapter.
Story: The story itself is good, I found myself hooked (pun intended) on the idea of a whole story about fishing. To be honest, I'm quite dissapointed. Not once have the characters really had a whole chapter to fishing, let alone a whole patch to it. That being said, the story is still quite entertaining, so I can't really get too upset about it
Grammar: Not much to say here. The grammar is completely fine from what i've seen. No mistakes
Characters: This is where I have my main issue in the story. The characters themselves seem pretty well fleshed out, if completely ingrained in the stereotypes. However, I have an issue with two characters, Ryouta/Fenrir and Aiko/Nyaiko.
Ryouta: My issue with Ryouta is that he's a complete doormat. He has absolutely no confidence to tell his girlfriends no, and that results in various issues. A good example is them all moving into his apartment. What he should have done is put his foot down, explain that the only one he can permit to live there is Alice due to her being from overseas, or even explain that he can't live with anyone due to it being a one person apartment, and then have them all come over at times, instead - themystogrigenRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: It has a harem-y light novel feel to it. Except the harem is actually being acknowledged. So buckle up folks. Four stars because Ace said fish weapons were stupid.
Grammar: Four star for being practically pristine. Honestly, a five star here is practically impossible. You know, subjective area and whatnot.
Story: Person gets bored of being the ultimate evil in every game he plays and decides to take it easy for once. Will he lose his virginity? Knowing Ace? The odds are stacked against our boy Ryouta. Also, since this is an MMO story, there is a real life aspect, but that has been briefly touched upon. Typical "the world is dying", global warming scenario.
Character: Japanese half star due to the cringe. Everyone has cringed like that towards the opposite sex at least once. It brings some human element into the story. You haven't cringed like that towards the opposite sex? You sir, are a robot.
We have Fenrir, our side-protagonist wolf boy weeb who swears he isn't into loli snuff porn. Serra, our hidden pervert who is as much loli as RRL legally allows. Casscass, our Tsundere frontliner who blushes at the tip of a hat. And finally, we have Rock, True Protagonist extrodinaire! She will be leading our merry band of harem to true greatness. Maybe to other cannonballs. - RizonRoyal Road★★★ 3.0It was good at first and all, the MC gets a harem which grows bigger as time passes by, her GFs are very impressive.. ingame and stuff, but the MC is very weak ingame and can't even beat more than half of his women, also always getting bullied in the whole freakin story.... he is a PUSHOVER. He is like a slave/boyfriend and the only thing he knows is how to make girls fall in love with him
Spoiler: Spoiler
So much for the former leader of the divine brigade - CiainaRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Sorry but....
Great world building. Good characters, pretty solid. The first relationships take time to develop, and even if not hyper realistic they have their charms.
SPOILERS
But the third girl? She is insane. The others reactions make no sense, and she has no character at all. Half a second later another one literally enters his life. Insane as well, no character, just another hole for him.
SPOILER
Had to drop it there, it went from well thought out to trashy.
The third one was already a strecht paper thin as she is, but the fourth should have been dragged away by the police.
