The Traitor's Heir (First Draft)

Novellia de Rege is from a family with strong ties to the tyrannical regime that has taken over most of the surrounding kingdoms. After the exile of her mother, and her father’s remarriage to a woman just as devoted to the corrupt King as he is, she is sent to a boarding school for the children of his nobles (the remala). She is one of the few people left in the land with magical powers, and most of the remala either want to kill or exploit her for it. Eventually, she meets a descendant of the side that lost the war years ago (the reantica), Livia Corvi, who wants to help her escape and shares her dream of saving their world from the tyrants.
