The toy army

It was a project of academics funded by a very wealthy old man. Nobody knows what it is, not even himself. No, it is not a robot, it is an artificial intelligence that gradually acquires awareness of itself, and that is in command of a lot of small "robots" that are shaped like toy soldiers.
