Description
Kason Vale has lived in Selmore village all his life. Brought up in the shadows of the Blackwood, he has never seen much magic and is woefully lacking in knowledge of life outside the village. But that all changes when he begins his journey to Constantine's 4th College for the Arcane Arts, one of the most prestigious centres for magical learning in the country, where he himself is to learn the mystic arts!
What awaits Kason?
He doesn't know.
And as long as he gets to learn magic, he doesn't really care either.

- NeoMareRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story itself is good, a bit slow in the beginning, but overall solid. I really like the way in which the author writes the main character, as an actual child (naive, sometimes dense, but brave and really likable).
The grammar is good, though there is always some room for improvement. - TachyreasRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Good beginning, slow but steady. I didn't see any grammar error. The story is a bit slow paced as of my current progression (I didn't read everything yet) , it doesn't bother me and I would even say is a relaxing but it may not please everyone.
The author is taking his time (sorry but I had to do it) but he is not stalling for words, no overly flowery language or filler to bump the counter up but an easily readable and flowing style.
Btw I don't know why but my review puts 2 stars while I put 3.5 - angryfanRoyal Road★★ 1.5I hate this story so much. The main character is the type of impressionable child that would enter a windowless van if a stranger asked him to. He doesn't actually make any decisions for himself. People order him into dangerous situations which he has to survive.
In the first couple of chapters the MC's guide to the college abandons 2 children in the middle of an infinitely large college and faces no actual repercussions. In another chapter seniors accidentally tie up the MC along with a group of children and almost burn them alive and only have to apologize. Nobodies actions have consequences or real impact on the story, the author just moves on with the nonexistent plot line.
There is magic but it isn't actually explained very well and isn't used by the MC until chapter 33 (I had to count since the chapters are not numbered for some reason). You don't really learn about how magic works just what powers, it like someone explaining to you that gasoline is used to power cars that doesn't really explain how cars work just what powers them.
The much of the story is filled up with useless information that doesn't have an effect on subsequent chapters. The Mc is a wood carver but none of that is explored instead the MC goes into a dangerous forbidden forest and almost get killed again because people told him to. No one seems to be wise or thoughtful or even plan past the week everyone makes stupid snap desicisions for no reason. This story is so aggravating i am just hoping the MC dies so people don't have to read this story anymore.
