This looks refreshing, promising.
Worthy of a second look.
I know that this much in the first chapter itself is great and full of clarity and hypotheses are always welcome in a story. It makes magic if there is clever characterization over individualism.
While I think a story without some past or overexaggeration of misery would impact me less, it is not so for many people.
