The Tale of the Disapearing Planet. A lancer / mecha fiction.

Imagine you're some run of the mill albatross lancerpilot, you've been given orders to assault a pirate stronghold in orbit around a planet after a captain declared himself king. Then, once they're cut off and clearly losing the battle, the space station, pirates and entire planet disappear. What would you do? Hunt them down of course. After all that's the only way to get your job back.
