I enjoyed the premise of the story as well as the setting. Great that the character has their own agency and is actively participating in their own adventure.
The pacing is a little fast and I would've enjoyed a more description of the characters internal thoughts.
    I liked the story overall.

There is a pretty decent story at play here. An opening that begins with setting up the premise without revealing too much, and then a shift to the future that is done with a little nod to pop culture.
The largest point of improvement would be in the dialogue. The deity character in Chapter 1 has a distinct voice, but the female character, and the child in the second chapter, both have a similar tone/conveyance of their words.
I would recommend that, if revisions are made, that the dialogue be revisited.
A pretty promising-looking start that sets up an intriguing premise. I hope it continues!
