It has a slow start but will pick up as he gets older and can actually adventure and stuff. However it does seem like the author will convey the mc's past through flashbacks as the series progresses. It starts out with a pretty generic mc born as a baby that does mana training early. But after the initial setup it gets very enjoyable and the backstory/world seems pretty interesting
- FanFicFanaticRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Congratulations on posting your story. While the formula you're going off of is a tried and true one, I feel that it's really rushed. Typically, with these kinds of stories we get a look into the MC's past life before we go into his new one. You mention that he read novels before he got reincarnated, but make no mention of him reading after he came to the world. He got past the language barrier quickly (like all reincarnated baby MC's), but never was it mentioned that he picked up a book and read. Meaning, he somehow got information about the world he is currently living in, without reading any books. Furthermore, he has knowledge of meditation from his previous world, how did he get it? With these stories you really need to give us a lot of background on the MC and who he was in his original world to help us understand how he knows the skills he demonstrates. The time skip is huge, and you miss out on an opportunity to give us a rundown of his world as well as his parents. The ice mage thing was just thrown into his lap and it seems to convenient to be true.
Now on to the positive aspects. So far, the ranking system is pretty cut and dried, so you've properly established the ranks. While not exactly detailed, you've characterized the MC as well as his mother decently, albeit a little blandly in nature. To me right now, the MC feels like a bro who's just going with the flow of this whole reincarnation thing. He's neither for nor against it, he doesn't seem to be confused, and he got over it pretty quickly. It's interesting, and I haven't seen this before in any story I've read.
Know that I am not trying to bash your story. I love me a good reincarnation story now and then, and this just caught my eye. I honestly want to see your story improve, and I feel that you definitely could craft a great series worth reading. I know how much courage it takes to post something on a site like this and have other people critique your work with harsh, and unnecessary language. I a
