Levi Law's world is turned upside down when the city where he operates an inn is attacked by an opposing country. The city is in the wild lands, and no one will lend aid. He tries to protect what he holds dear: his wife, Armorica, and his two daughters, Savine and Char. While defending his family, he stumbles into a power struggle between gods, demons, and nations.
