I was a beta reader for this one, so I’ve read up to chapter 20. And I loved it!
Card-based stories are quickly becoming my new favorite in the genre, and The SorCyber with its unique twist is definitely one of the best. Without giving any spoilers, the author basically combined cyberpunk with good ol’ fantasy and added a card-based LitRPG system. The whole power system is intriguing and well-thought. The concept of the curses, for example, have so much potential and makes you wonder what’s next.
Although we didn’t see much of the outside world yet, the hints the author gave were enough to spark my curiosity. I mean, powerful families creating city-size dungeons with their cards where people actually live in them? C’mon, I want more of that world-building!
Other than that, the prose is good. Not great, but certainly above average for this site. It’s well flowing and immersive. I didn’t catch any grammar mistakes either. The omniscient pov was a bit confusing at the start as we don’t see that much in progression fantasy but I got used to it in a few chapters.
The characters are fleshed out and feel alive. Zoe is especially likable and has a strong agency. She is sometimes adorable and sometimes a badass. After everything she’d been through, you can’t help but cheer for her.
Overall, it was a great read so far, and I can’t wait for more. Recommended!

I read chapter 1 on Reddit and have eagerly awaited the arrival of the SorCyber to RRL, even though I just discovered it today.
I love stories with tragic backstories, as well as stories with Characters from the Past of their Worlds, which is what Chapter 1 heavily implies.
The Mc, Zoe, is an interesting character and I especially like how Chapter 1 sets her up for some hopefully great character development further down the line.
Card Magic is ussually an interesting genre and the characters with Cybernetic Enhancements and the Synopis promise an especially interesting system this time.
Overall, I just really like where it's going and felt like making a Chapter One Review which I may come back to update in a few months.

The story's pretty decent. The setting's pretty cool, though there is the usual chapter if info dumps
The dialouge feels sorta clunky at times, and the author should try more showing then telling. The scenes are described with just enough detail to not feel lost, but a bit more wouldn't hurt. We (the readers) also told a lot of things like a character's emotions, or how sucky the situation is. So the author should describe the character's emotions more, rather than 'xx was mad because yy betrayed them all'.
The MC feels overly trusting and like a distractable child, in a way.
The grammar's good. Nothing to say there.
Overall the concept is good, and it's written aptly.

Interesting story and twist to the card magic system
Bit info dump heavy but it has a legitimate reason for it.
    Overall good read
Will need some editing and cleanup in the future but it is fine for now
Filler to make 50 word minimum
Pizza time pizza time pizza time

I'm enjoyin the story, but the author does tend to restate the same information in two separate paragraphs. Why not say 'she wanted to know' instead of 'She was curious to find out' followed by 'She wished she knew'?
Reviews must be at least 208 words long, just like college professors requiring word count over content.
Paraphrased, of course, but similarly jarring stating the same thing twice has happened multiple times.

The setting feels unique and fresh. A different style of dystopia with a unique system.
In terms of characters I enjoy Dan, Brad, and Flo, but the MC and Lucy I can't seem to connect with. I don't feel invested in the main characters.
The changes of perspective are quite abrupt without any signaling. While it can make sense to switch perspectives in a fight scene, I don't feel that it worked in this case.
The story holds a lot of promise.

Not the first story I have read set in a trash heap, probably not the last either, but I find it interesting setting a story in the detritus of the larger world.
Ten chapters in I can't say the story has found it's voice yet, but most of the basic info dump seems to be over now. The world building is a little weak, but the first real  taste of the magic system shows a lot of promise and character.
Until the plot really gets rolling this will probably be a good occasional read as chapters build up.
