Description
Truck-kun fell from the sky.
It was a terrible accident involving several casualties who found eternal rest. Unfortunately for Jasson Boar, a normal modern teenager, death was just the beginning of his problems.
After a brief conversation with Kami, Jason was reborn in another world. In a feat of divine mercy Kami chose to reconstruct Jasson's phone, avoiding making Jasson's next life Hell on (another) earth.
Unfortunately Kami decided to put his own spin on things.
Now without a goal or signal, Jasson is left to explore the world in search of both. Wandering with his phone held high, Jasson must overcome his apathy and find what matters in life. After all, the “five ‘F’s of life” do not include Phone. It just doesn't work with the acronymFFFFF.
Come with Jasson as he gets a life, starts an illegal substance epidemic, walks right past his love interests while on TikTik, and finds the key to unlimited power (for his phone).

- Boy BayawakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A Blend of Fantasy and Technology that let's the MC have access to unlimited possibilities!!!
I would recommend it if you want to read a relaxed story that is easily relatable, read chapter 1 and if you immediately like it then you'll definitely have to continue on forward!!!
This story is an engaging and imaginative read, offering a fresh take on the reincarnation genre by blending modern elements with a fantastical setting. Jasson’s journey is both humorous and harrowing, making readers curious about how he will navigate his new life. Despite minor pacing issues and a need for deeper secondary character development, the story’s innovative concept and vivid storytelling make it a compelling narrative worth exploring.
Character: Jasson’s modern reactions to fantastical elements, such as recording videos and using apps, add humor and make his character relatable.
Grammar : there are some wierd prose but its okay and easily be understood!!
Style: I like how the scenes were described and as the story goes on it gets better
Story: Its probably hard to continue the story without flooding it with more interesting things Well its the author who is always right with this one!!
Oh the best part of the read was in chapter one when he summoned the Charron as his Ubber hahaha! - Glory To The KingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This was a great story.
A guy walks down the road while looking at his phone, not concentrating on the road and boom! He accidentally trespassed in Kami sama's territory. Well Kami is ya good ol' anime God so he makes the MC's phone op and sends him to another world.
Now MC have to become stronger while increasing his do-a-lingo streak from the start and watching tik-tik.
I love the comedy even if the chapter gets unnecessarily long. And I'll be reading it for a long time, unless he drops the story or like the quality degrades. - Noah BlackRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The book is an exemplary blend of wit, fantasy, and character-driven storytelling. From the outset, the humorous scenes set a playful tone, but the narrative quickly dives into the fascinating intricacies of magic through Petra’s lesson. Petra’s detailed explanation of magic—comprising Mana, the Mind, and Magic Crystals—provides readers with a clear and engaging understanding of the magical system. The diverse array of crystals, each associated with different elemental powers, adds a rich layer of complexity to the world-building. The categorization of crystals into base elements like Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, and more specialized ones like Light, Darkness, and Ice, showcases the thoughtfulness behind the magical lore. The pacing of the book is well-balanced, seamlessly transitioning between moments of light-hearted banter and more serious, introspective passages. The dialogue is sharp and well-written, capturing the unique personalities of the characters. The world-building is immersive, with detailed descriptions of the magical elements enhancing the reader’s experience. In summary, this book is a standout example of the author’s ability to weave humor, fantasy, and emotional depth into a cohesive and engaging narrative. It sets a strong foundation for the rest of the book, leaving readers eager to see how Jasson and Petra’s journey unfolds.
- Sir Neutron StarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0‘The 'Smart'phone Saga’ is a comedic take on the isekai genre that could have easily fallen flat on its face… or rather its smartphone, but instead managed to become an enjoyable satire comedy with actual creative ideas.
Much of the writing is interspersed with imaginative descriptions that someone has spilled various amount softdrinks over, giving the story an amusing flow and letting the world bloom to live.
The story itself is mostly just Jasson blundering around this medieval fantasy world after being reincarnated by the creatively named Kami Sama because apparently getting splatted by a truck is considered amusing by him. Now cast into this new world, Jasson oh so painfully slow starts to learn to use his actual brain and not just seek solace in his phone every few seconds for literally everything… though the actually useful and now supernatural apps do make that difficult. After all, he can just order Charon for an Uber, still watch videos when the signal is somehow there in a medieval world or just splat monster using an AR app. An actual story is slow to start, however.
Grammatically the story has only minor mistakes, mostly in spelling and punctuations, and never detracted from the story itself.
Most characters until now were primarily one-off side characters but all were written really well and played off of Jasson perfectly, nicely contrasting medieval fantasy characters to the tik-tik obsessed, little to no attention modern teenager. Most of the comedy naturally comes from Jasson’s characterisation and his dependency on modern media and his phone… his mind literally blanks when he has to update his phone. Sometimes Jasson can be frustrating to read with how oblivious he is but it fits well with his character. Hopefully he will experience some actual growth as he is forced to interact with characters who he doesn’t just leave behind a few days later.
The story is easily 5 Stars with only story and Characters being slightly lower as we have yet to see much - ammonoidsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall:
This story is a fresh, funny take on Isekai and LitRPG! It doesn't overwhelm you with textboxes, and introduces every element slowly, taking time to bring up the story naturally. It's also clever and funny- satirizing elements that are, to any isekai/litRPG reader, well-fossilized by now into the genre. I would recommend it to anyone who's familiar with the genre and enjoys comedy! It is, however, light on the litRPG elements (at least during the first arc of the story, which is mostly spent exploring the world!).
Style:
This is a very consistently-written story, with a light and easy conversational tone in third-person limited from Jasson's point of view.
Since gold and Jasson's personal abilities were so relevant in the first few chapters, I personally would have liked a status update every chapter to keep track of his gold, specifically (especially since he's able to keep track on his phone!)- this is the only reason for the half-star deduction.
Story:
He was hit by a truck. Now he's in a fantasy world, trying to figure out his life. Does he have a real direction of his own? Well, no. Do I expect him to? Not really. The story is a little cliché, but it works. It's a character-forward comedy, not the next Game of Thrones.
Grammar:
Overall, this story was very well edited! I rarely found a grammar error, and it was above many stories on this platform. Be warned, there is much slang afoot. Again, though- what did you expect?
Character:
Our main character, Jasson, is a teenage boy. As such, he is directionless, easily distracted by beautiful people, and somewhat self-absorbed. Mostly, this adds to the humor of the plot and is a bonus. Occasionally, it's a little grating. What can you do? He's seventeen. - HitmarkRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5As the title of my review said, the story is rather unique for its genre. Typically, isekai involves a man getting thrown to another world, gaining spells, powers and whatever else. But our mc instead is granted a phone that he can use to get inter dimensional privileges. The only plot of somewhat similarity I've seen is smartphone in another world and yet the two still varies in their own ways. As for why I gate it a 4.5, the reason is mainly on how the mc just goes ahead and accepts he died and reincarnated. There was not a a sign of emotional trauma whatsoever considering he was found in a warzone.
- C. Sebastian NuttRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall, I found this to be a very enjoyable read. These set up for the story is perfectly executed, and the humor found inside of it is continually reinforced through both the style and the plot. An excellent pick.
Style: I found the writers style to lend heavily toward elevating the humor. The writer likes to play around with punning real-world things, which is heavily tied to the very essence of litRPG. I find the irreverence displayed refreshing, a humorous take on the genre that I do not normally see.
Grammar: There is not an awful lot to say here. The grammar is well constructed, and I found little to complain about other than rare instances of tense confusion. Nothing about the writing should be off-putting for anyone.
Story: At the point in the fic that I made it to before posting this review, I am still uncertain as to where the story will be going. I did find that the world was established well, and that the fundamentals of said world are sound. I look forward to seeing as to how the magical system might be fleshed out, though, given that this is a comedic read, I do not put too much weight on it.
Character: This I feel might be the weakest point. So far, we don't have many long standing characters, which I imagine is likely remedied later on. Our protagonist is somewhat of a blank slate, I don't feel much emotion or reaction coming from him, which is a tad disappointing. - DarkWasTakenRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Hey there, Dark here
I'm not too familiar with the Isekai genre, and I have to say that, with a few exceptions, I don't find it particularly interesting. However, this story hit me differently.
The synopsis didn’t particularly appeal to me, and I started reading the prologue with low expectations. As soon as I finished reading, however, I immediately started reading the other chapters.
I can say that, as of right now, I have not felt the slightest regret about finishing the current chapters.
The story is interesting, and I found some similarities with other Japanese light novels that I read in the past, although this one has some unique aspects.
I found no significant grammar errors, and the style allows for fairly easy reading. The only thing that can be annoying are occasional blocks of dialogue that make the chapters look more like a script than a novel.
For the protagonist, I do not know exactly how to define it: imagine a protagonist from a comedy anime, but instead of the typical hikikomori, you have a Gen Alpha obsessed with his smartphone. A new element of its kind, you can say.
Overall, although not in my usual genre, this story definitely deserves a read. - CosmicSlimeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Wasn’t sure what to expect coming into this one but it was surprisingly fun. The humor is done well for the most part and everything from the tropes to the isekai style reincarnation is inspired by anime. The characters are well done for the most part, but the MC is a little passive, though that might be due to how his character is written; a typical teen that’s absorbed into their phone.
The grammar is surprisingly well done, but the story is rather fast paced. On a side note though, one of the most unique aspects of this story is the parodies of the famous applications constantly being mentioned. This has everything from TikTok to Uber. - SkarabraeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story is essentially about a smartphone-obsessed millennial who gets isekaid into a fantasy world. It does its premise incredibly well and is a very funny story. How the MC interacts with the world and the characters in it is very entertaining, and I especially like how he contrasts with the world. Overall, I recommend this story.
