The shadow of deceit

Prologue:

There was a time when we were inseparable, when the halls of Silverwood High felt like a second home. We were a close-knit group of friends: Penelope, Jenny, Felicity, Katherine, Amelie, Sorona, and me, Ashley. At the time, it was hard to imagine that anything could tear us apart. But life has a way of showing you that things are never as perfect as they seem.It all started with her. She was the one we all admired, “beautiful, confident, and seemingly perfect in every way”. But underneath that glossy exterior, something darker was brewing. It wasn't until I started paying attention that I realized how dangerous she truly was. And when the truth came out, it was almost too late.
