- eBayRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0While the story is still in its early stages, I am very intrigued by what has happened so far! I love the writing style, and the characters seems fairly realistic and complex. Rhoden is an extremely interesting character - although we get a glimpse of what happened to him in the prologue, there seems to be a lot more to this mystery than meets the eye. I'm excited to see where it goes!
- jenttorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Having read many books throughout my life, most were done by pure curiosity, it's been a great while that a book has captured my attention to such a degree as "The Shadow King" has.
The details of each passage and chapter are enough to paint a picture, but also vague enough that leaves your mind to finish the rest.
I will be honest, there were a couple moments of grammar errors, but it never took away from the story.
Rhoden, the protagonist, is so easy to relate to. From the moment you take a step into his mind, you can understand. Hoe often do we plan for the best, but prepare for the worst?
I cannot wait to physically hold this book, to add it to my collection.
What's astonishing about the author is that, unlike other books I've read from both self published, and "trying to publish", it doesn't feel like a rip off of some movie.
It not so fan fiction of a book. It is genuinely original. Sure, some points have been done before. A deal with the devil, for example. Cain and Able started that story.
But, each chapter makes you desire for another.
My compliments to the author, and I look forward to her final result of this work of art.
