Description
Raised in a small village at the end of the trail by a single mother.
Rime only ever wanted for one thing and that was to be able to attend the Royal Academy to study to become a herbalist, so he would be able to take care of his ailing mother and mischiveous little sister.
But in a twist of fate he draws the attention of the Arch Mage and then accidentally becomes the best friend of the young Empress and gets pulled into a game of Royal Revolt, now he must fight to protect what remains of the future of his kingdom while trying to keep both himself and little sister alive.

- LightningShadow7Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I would rate this work higher but upon reviewing it the first chapter still has several run on sentences and the other chapters too, so while the plot is interesting enough the writer should really look into getting a beta to edit his work and make it better. I'm not just taking off stars for grammar alone though, I also have to mark it down for the generally confusing writing that can stem from the grammar problems, I've had several instances where I cannot understand what he is saying and while that may just be me I will still mark down some parts. I say this is an ok read but the writer really must get an editor.
- MwisRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story is fine and worthy of reading, much better then many other stories here in Royal road. Only thing that may hinder your reading experience is the fact that the transition is sometimes very wacky and inconsistent. Other than that we get a good story with some interesting characters. This is a review as of chapyer 28. Have only read up to chapter 27 since the transitions kinda threw me off.
