This is an action-packed fantasy read that gets you rooting for the brothers. It's the kind of book fans of Power Rangers would love as its one shining light is the action, the fights, and the way it seems to maintain suspense and cliffhangers at the end of every chapter.
The author comes on strong from the very first chapter, introducing incoming invaders to a small village. You can tell the stakes will be high as you read this one, and you can also tell it will be an enjoyable book.
The MC's inner monologue conveys the urge to protect, making him a relatable character (to some, at least). More character development is needed to give the character more depth. Things like hair color, length of air, height, and style of dressing (for the various characters and society) can add more to the character development. But it needs to be done right; woven expertly into the story as part of its beauty, not an info dump.
In fact, at this point, I know more about how the invaders look than the humans coz there's more description about them than the humans.
Another thing that could help character development is dialogue. The dialogue is good, but it can be better. If I were to compare this story to some I've read before that are for YAs, I'd say there's always a conflict between the MC and the brother figure or any other character that travels alongside the MC, even though they always settle it at some point.
This story has all the potential to have that type of interesting dialogue. But as it is, the MC and his brother are always in agreement. This makes the story just 'there' if you know what I mean. They are young adults from the look of things, and although, giving the MC a mature feel or making him feel older than his years might seem good, it makes him boring. A good balance will be giving him (and every other character) character traits that have some negative side. Just a little, no need to be extreme.
Some family conflicts will make the story more interesting, to surmis

First off I want to go over how much fun this story is. There is almost non-stop action at the beginning and a very cool dynamic between the two predominant characters.
Style: The style of this story is a fast paced action comic that keeps the momentum of battle and dialogue going. I appreciate how little wasted time there was. Almost every second the flow of the book is moving forward. Could it have slowed down a bit? Probably, but where’s the fun in that?
Story: The story follows Zan and his brother Jiehong. Who find themselves in a desperate battle fighting against these wooden beings attempting to destroy their village. First off, these creatures gave me “Puttie” vibes from Power Rangers. And they take the first few chapters to basically fight these things. I won’t go into too much spoilers here, but I will say that when they finally became Ranger-Knights, there was a smile on my face.
Characters: The characters are pretty well written. Zan is energetic, funny, and relatable for a main protagonist. His interaction and relationship with Jiehong seems pretty organic and believable. There wasn’t a point where I felt annoyed by him or any of the characters. At least up to where I read.
Grammar: I’m not an editor, aside from the creative liberties that were taken on several occasions. Nothing stood out to me as problematic.
Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action and relatable characters. It’s fast paced and entertaining to read. Check it out.

Style: I like this story's style a lot. It has literary devices, in particular a lot of imagery that helps with the story's tone and set various scenes within the story. The author has incredibly good word choice and is able to set the tone very well with it. The author's way of writing is also unique. And I can safely say that the tone fits the story perfectly.
Story: The story is great. It is paced at just the right pace too. This is a very fast pace, which isn't for everyone, but this story is highly action oriented and it gets you into the action right away. So, I think it works here. The story is very much inspired by sentai, and it is about a war that a power rangers-style figure finds himself in. The story makes great use of this premise and develops it well, so I have no complaints.
Grammar: I couldn't find any grammatical errors. That does not mean they don't exist, but if they do, they are most likely not distracting enough for most people to notice them.
Character: The characters are great. They are all well-depicted, realistic, and three-dimensional for the most part. Some aren't, but they still fit the story. The main character is interesting too, and he is also quite likeable.
Overall, this is a very good story and I recommend it.

This story wastes no time in immediately jumping into fascinating action. Not only is each chapter a cliffhanger, oftentimes each paragraph is as well. The RPG elements are woven into the story seamlessly, appealing directly to those who enjoy RPGs. As a fan of Power Rangers when I was younger, I can attest that if you like Power Rangers, then you will like this story.
Style: The style is excellent. It is fast-paced, descriptive, highly entertaining. Despite the rapid pacing, the MC still comes through very strongly. The MC is relatable, even as a fantastical RPG-like world unfolds around him. I very much enjoyed getting a sense of the rules of the world as they were presented in a very organic way.
Grammar: Minor errors that can be amended in proofreading, additional editing, etc. In no way is the story diminished by this, however.
Story: As stated previously, the story is very easy to get into. It has an almost immediate hook that makes you want to keep reading. I love how with each chapter, the story becomes more complex, with a new dynamic introduced, whether that be a new character, new skill, new enemy, etc. One thing I would like to see added is a little more context about the world itself. I had a general sense of the world, but it felt a little bit like I was having to imagine the story in a generic landscape. This did not affect the enjoyability of the story, but I would like to know more about this interesting world to enrich the story in my mind's eye.
Character: The MC is relatable. It is easy to feel sympathetic towards the MC. As with the worldbuilding, I wouldn't mind knowing a little bit more about the MC in general, just to enrich the imaginative aspect.
Overall, the story excels at being highly entertaining, and progressing very logically through an RPG-type setting. But there still remain many twists and turns - the progression aspect is not predictable. As a final thought, I enjoyed the descriptiveness of particular elements of the story, such a

For those of you who haven't started, a summary would be good for you.
This is an action-packed story about Zan, a young, heroic, and brave boy.
The world-building is a unique one, in my opinion. It forsakes the common planetary clusters system for world zones, which is, also in my opinion, Epic.
The style: aside from being fast paced and less descriptive than I would like, it's quite easy to get along with and like.
The MC is a rare specimen to find in a story this early on; brave, strong, and with a will to move the moon. Although he might lack a more contemplative mind, he makes up for it with sheer determination and the willingness to see things done.
The beginning of the story leaves more to want in the fantasy, with tiny words and Well placed sentences that implies a wider scale than what is first shown.
Aside from some early errors that the author has continued to strive to fix, the grammar is definitely easy to get along with. Understand better.
Although the plot hasn't yet being finalized, in my opinion and from where I stopped, it implies of intriguing things to come in the future.
Overall, this is a story to try. If you're a fan of power rangers, then this is the story for you.

An action-packed, imaginative tale with intriguing worldbuilding, though it would benefit from clearer context, and more character depth. This would be a good fit for readers who enjoy Marvel-style action or want comics/graphic novels without the graphics.
The writing maintains constant suspense as it goes from one action sequence to the next describing Zan’s internal and external battles. However, the transitions can be abrupt which can be jarring. While the shifts between dramatic and comedic tones add a Marvel-esque feel to the scenes, they can break immersion. Further, some unnecessary or repetitive descriptions can make the pacing feel uneven. The style veers heavily into avoiding exposition, which may be a positive factor for some but leave others wanting more context.
The plot kicks off with a strong sense of urgency, as an unprepared village finds itself on the brink of war. Zan, the protagonist, is thrown into the chaos, constantly adapting to new threats with creativity and quick thinking. Through the first nine chapters, the story leans heavily into the action and showing the lens of Zan as he fights in his first battle. Because of the constant action and the rapid transitions from fight scene to fight scene and the metaknowledge that the MC is not going to die in such low-stake encounters, the reader can struggle to feel invested in the plot. More explanation on why the war is being fought, on what motivates the enemy faction to do what they are doing, and perhaps more human opponents could help the reader feel some stakes in the fight. Based on a POV shift in the concluding part of the ninth chapter, it is possible the author is moving into this soon, but investing nine chapters of reading to reach that point may not work for a lot of readers.
Zan’s character is relatable, especially in his moments of self-doubt and fear during battle. His shifting emotions add complexity to his character, making him more than just an indomitable action hero. However, h

I am surprised by how “into it”, I find myself. I like the interactions between the characters and how their experiences during combat training enrich the relationship. The author obviously cares about the reader having more than “battle” to read about…. If that were the case…it would be quite endless.
Strong narrative, very nostalgic to stories and shows I grew up with! I did find myself wanting to know more of the oppositions point of view and to paint those scenes a little bit more, but that might be a personal preference for these types of genres. The writing is engaging enough in small enough chapters that I didn’t find myself lost in the content. At its core, there is a sense of high stakes fantasy at delves into the journeys of the protagonist rising and becoming more specialized. There is a sense of the brutality of the combat and war, but the interpersonal complexities of relational leadership, loyalty to values and teammates , all while political structures are shifting.
I enjoy the supernatural elements and see the creativity of the author’s vision rise here a lot. I would recommend this writing to many young readers I know for a challenging while entertaining ride for them!

Based on comments, reviews, and the sheer length of the story, I suspect the quality improves, but the first chapter is very rough on many levels.  The author claims to be planning a rewrite of the early chapters eventually, Id wait for that.
Grammer, word choice, sentence construction, sentence flow, basic realism, a supposedly somewhat trained fighters common sense, etc, are all lacking in the first chapter.
