The Rain Remembers

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]None know which god is the blame for the rain.

Some blame Korvaul, the god of death, though he himself will point out the truly dead are beyond its reach. Others blame life, others blame the sky, and some even blame men, as if they could ever have the power to enact such a thing.

All that is known is that the rain reaches further every year, and every year the usurpers they birth grow more hateful of the living.

Some say they will soon cover all that is known, even reaching the Storm that Rings the World.

Some say they may even cross that.
