The Quantum System

Description
CURRENTLY ON HIATUS
An anomalous experiment at ITER releases a pulse of quantum fluctuation energy which leads to the greater galactic community discovering humanity. In order to preserve humanity and protect the few neighbouring civilisations from the potentially destructive effects of further uncontrolled energy releases Earth is initiated into the Quantum System with the Games protocol applied. Chaos ensues.
Ryan wakes up after being initiated to the System during a nocturnal hunt for a leopard and discovers that most of his family is gone and in order to rescue them he will need to progress to the end of the Games.
The System will change Earth and him irreversibly and he may well have to become more than human to succeed.
Ryan is determined to increase his power and become strong quickly enough to rescue his daughter, a journey that may prove hard on his own. Ryan will need to find companions that will keep up with his drive to become strong enough to survive the journey to Prime, the homeworld of the System.
Can Ryan survive the chaos reigning on Earth and will he and his companions succeed along their journey to Prime? What are they willing to do to achieve their goal?
Notes: This story follows Ryan and a few companions along their journey to Prime. They will need to increase their levels, develop their Skills and find a way to cultivate the limitless quantum potential energy that is both the underlying energy and currency powering the Quantum System in order to grow beyond the bounds of a base human. Along the way they'll be exposed both to the darkness and the light in their fellow humans and confront new species competing for a place on Prime.
The magic system is, as far as possible, aligned to our (my) understanding of physics with some necessary liberties taken.
Initial Chapters will be reworked during the latter half of 2022 to account for improved writing skills.

Likes; the whole evolution shstem. Guided freedom of choices make for a much larger world to.grow your story in.
Dislikez; plot is a bit disjointed. Example is when when the healer asked to raid the city for new medical tools I was expecting a montage of raids looking for said tools . interaction with the other guild. At least some crossing of paths with the us embassy but instead we got just a mention of many raids with no detail. I would like to see more fleshed out ideas in each chapter if you mention them in your dialog then I assume it to be important to your story.
Than said I eagerly await what comes next thank you for all your hard work!
John delvfar - SpaceCadetRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Story itself is a lot of fun. The main character has some pretty interesting abilities. The reason it only gets 3 stars is that the characters rarely have conversations. We a generally just told that they talked about subject x, we not shown the words that they used. Fix this and the the star rating goes up.
Updated, the conversations between characters definitel;y improves after the first 30 chapters. The story is a lot of fun - keep at it and it is worthwhile - BronRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Hey ho,
this is a nice lit-rpg/cultivation Story!
It's a fast moving story, with a good balance between action and chill.
What i like the most about the Story is, that the writer seems to know what he is talking/writing about when bows or animals are involved! (like yeah, a small high Level Insekt would be as deadly as any big animal)
good work! - J.B. SearraRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0although the story starts out slow and begins with an overly complicated "system" as the author pulls back the hood and things become clear it's looking to be a great litrpg with progression fantasy sprinkled through with an interesting setting that i hope comes into play more as the series goes on it seems to be just getting started and i look forward to where the unique blend of genres has the potential to go.
- BeING IMMRTLRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Nice start. Could probably use a multiple lead characters tag for the first few chapters. The system mesaages would have been nice to look at in a blue box background. Developed world settings.
It is for those who like a strong lead who has good head on his shoulders and doesn't just rush into danger and rely on plot armor to save himself. The stroy itself is long. Its a little slow paced.
The author did a nice job while introducing a companion (the lion) into the mc's life. Not like some stories where the author basically pushes the bond into formation.
Could definitely improve more. - HorderunnerRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I am posting this 52 chapters deep and am happy to report that this story is a solid find. The MC did make me want to yell this first few fights but overall the strength balance between MC to the side characters and environment is great. The structure of the core party members I find a little too dependent on certain members feedback rubs me wrong, but it shows more how in a post apocalypse group needs leaders
- TajarimRoyal Road★★★ 3.0It's altogether very wordy without getting all that much information across, so that even text passages which are designated as "exposition" don't really expose all that much.
Grammar is good in the sense that most words are technically correct, whereas the flow of the story is lacking due to the choice of expressions used.
The supposed MC, Ryan, is the heel in his own story. Rarely gets to contribute to progress of the story and treated as a minor sidecharacter. - moredreadRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I like the plot. It has a few new things to it that don't appear in most of the stories like this. The execution is lacking. There is way to much telling and very little show.
By that i mean just about every chapter its. We did this. Or i did that. I stuck around for a while but it never really improved.
Also, there is very little dialogue. Its very annoying. Instead of the group talking about what they will do, the author will tell you what they discussed.
Add in several plot holes and i dont believe i want to continue. - lainzarRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Starts ok, but his private motivation rings hollow due to his actions, and almost zero time spent garnering any emotion towards his
daughter.
I had to drop it at CH92, the characters realisations were the opposite of my own views, and felt more like an attempt to double down on previous choices to compensate for the lack of agency found in the MC. Lastly, although it is couched as unfortunate, the constant total eradication of any other life paints a bleak world, plagued by the virus known as man.
