The Pantry of Untold Stories (collection of teasers)

Description

For every story that eventually ends up published somewhere, dozens never got off the (royal) road. An author once said, "People always come to me with ideas. But I already have more ideas in a week than I'll ever write in a lifetime."

Whenever I get an idea, I eventually write a first chapter, usually an epilogue of sorts, and then let it simmer. Most of the time, it simmers and stays cold on my draft books pile. A few, rare times, it catches fire and becomes a real fiction (I now have three on RR). Instead of a single fiction, here's a sample of the first chapter of all sorts of stories I wanted to write one day. Some I might eventually write, in which case I'll remove them from this collection. And, of course, if I get a new idea and start drafting it out, then it will add to the pile.

Let me know what you think of them. Are they promising? Are they bad already? I will - probably - not use this as a poll to see what I write next; what counts more is how motivated I am by the story itself.
