Description

'Mindfulness' Noun: the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. 'Morality' Noun: a particular system of values and principles of conduct. I like to think of myself as a guy who thinks before he acts. Someone who really sees all the sides to an issue. So when someone summons me and requests that I assassinate the head of an emerging nation comprised of a number of different unified species, I would like to think I would really weigh up all the sociopolitical issues that may emerge from such an act. Unfortunately I'm not the main hero. I'm the other guy.

    This is a stream of consciousness fic that has an interesting mechanic with an opening that then pulled back for context only to re-return to the point upon which the story ended without follow-up. The snarky writing and the attitude of the MC has the style of someone recounting the events long after they happened. The writing is not bad, though it could use some work.
