Orcs are in decline. Nobody feels this more keenly than Adam.
He's seen his camp thin out from hundreds of orcs to just dozens, and his once powerful people have been dominated by humans for a generation.
With a human army massing, Adam needs to find strength from new sources that go beyond muscle, sweat, and the joy of swinging a club.
War is in the air. It’s time for the orcs to rise again.

- GearRatioRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far, I'm liking this. The writing quality is reasonably high, and it's a nice break from OP "I'm an isekai, so I can kill anyone" stuff. It's starting off a little slow, but I feel like there's a difference in quality (in the right direction) between the first chapter and the third (where I'm at).
If the pattern holds, I think this will end up being a strong series.
So far, it looks like this might end up being purely a military force/tactics sort of novel, as opposed to having heavy magic or fast weak-to-strong progression. Right now it's all been swords and battleaxes, not fireballs and heal spells. I don't know how well that works for everyone, but I'm down for it. I like Isekai/LitRPG stuff, but occasionally it's nice to get more of that "LOTR realism" where there's a bit of magic and fantasy races, but mostly people die from good old stabbing.
Right now I feel like I'm getting a good handle on the MC and camp leader characters, but I don't have as good of a sense of the rest of the crew yet. I think the progression of the side characters might make or break my longterm opinion of the series.
Overall, this is pretty good. I'm hoping it continues to update and improve.
