With his commission denied and the death of parents he had long detached himself from and the responsibilities of being thrust to the head of a family he had left behind, Declan operates on the fringes of society, often resorting to unconventional methods to achieve his goals. As he interacts with a diverse array of characters, from dubious allies to enigmatic figures with their own hidden agendas, Declan begins blurring the boundaries between right and wrong as he seeks to carve out his own path in the galaxy.

Declan is intent on rebuilding it all even if he has to shed the obsession of the generation before him.
