THE NIGHT SHROUD | SHORT STORY (DELETED) (MAYBE BACK IN THE FUTURE)

In the heart of the industrial Kedar City, State of Osenia, is a place in central Europe where history comes alive, culture grows, and people enjoy their lives to the fullest. Mary McMellon is a high schooler just trying to hang out with her friends, but instead she got the worst job that she always hated - night babysitting her younger siblings. But darkness cloaks the city. Mysterious disappearances cause the town to freeze and families lock their homes. Farmers find their cows emaciated, women and men are found brutally murdered. No one knows what caused it. In recent years, the town has always been the target of crime and gangs taking over the streets. But what the police find one day shocks everyone. Two investigating officers were fatally wounded. And the only known image is showing a man wrapped in pharaoh mask and tall body. The town folks call that "Amun-Kar", he was a prince, who nation betrayed him while he was fighting the Roman Empire and now his ghost is hunting the Town, showing bad omen to everyone. The case today still remains open. But everyone knows monsters are not real. The slashes, ripped faces and the deep scars on their bodies, however, say otherwise... The Prince has returned.
