Description

Behind human society lies a secret.

Two separate sub-species of humanity, each a more advanced yet divergent branch of the next stage of human evolution. Existing behind a veil of absolute secrecy, one of these branches has used its abilities to pull the strings of power for centuries.

It is into this race of highly evolved humans - Evos - that a young man is thrust. His mind is unlocked, and within it, his very own city. A representation of his conscious and subconscious mind, he can walk the tree line streets of his own psyche, he can visit the library of his memories, and he can stand atop the walls that defend them all.

More importantly, he can visit the minds of others. Influencing them to conform to his will, he is forced to confront not only the changes happening to him but the morality of altering the will of others. Every choice could make his life immeasurably easier and more exciting, but each also comes with a consequence.

One of those consequences comes in the shape of the other branch of evolution, a shadow hanging over and threatening all Evos. The Inquisitors actively hunt anyone thought to possess the powers our young hero now holds, and they are not only dangerous, they are ruthless.

Behind every pretty girl’s smile is an opportunity. Behind every insurmountable task is an easy solution. But behind it all, there is the threat.

The whispers of change are coming.

Good structure and flow to the story! Good character building and background, giving a more personal touch to them, thereby wanting to know what happens to them. Chapter twos ending leaves you questioning and wanting more. Will he or won't he?
The descriptive writing draws a picture that puts the reader in the scene. The knowledge and/or research of varied subjects is evident and explained simply and understandably.
