- catgymRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The beginning is really nice and informative, it really lays out all the characters and stuff so you’re not just stumbling through the interactions and guessing the meaning of every alien word. In this story everything feels really well planned out, no interaction is just empty words, everything us important and gets used. All the problems and character dynamics are really well done.
- webreader123Royal Road★★★★ 4.0This story was partly not what I expected. I was expecting a comedy where the MC is jaw dropping strong but absurd in his mindset resulting in funny gags between characters of common sense and the MC. This story however gives a realistic twist to the ususal pattern. Typically, muscle characters are not just able to resist magic but well capable of just marching through pretty much anything whether it be a hail of arrows or a barrage of magic missiles. However, the MC in this story is limited to mundane attacks like an ordinary arrow fire while being immune to any magical attacks. This would mean that our muscle brained MC must actually think before attacking and also learn to dodge.
As for the story, he has been brought to some town and was enlisted as a knight apprentice and needs to complete some survival test. There is also some war happening in the background between nations. Everything else but MC is pretty cliche so I stopped reading though. I will comeback after a few months and see if things have improved. - farsight13Royal Road★★★★ 3.5The story isn't actually bad, the setting is okay and the characters are pretty good. However, a lot of the readers are going to have trouble in getting into the series. Mostly because it reads like manga story screenplay, that's been translated from Japanese. If anyone has ever read Japanese light novels then you know what you are getting into. However, if you really want to get into into it, use your imagination and pretend you are reading manga; then you are in for a treat. Akin to Jojo's crazy adventure, the story has it's very nutty feel. Crazy battles where you wonder "Is this his final form?" or is he really going to punch his way out of trouble... buck naked...again? It has it's funny moments. So, what does the series lacks? An actual editor. So expect cultural and translation issues; hence the the 3.5 star review. Still, it is a fun way to binge read from a promising author.
