Description

It was supposed to be your typical game-like fantasy world story. As a reincarnator who read countless novels in the genre, Willow thought she had it all figured out. Become a White Mage, get pampered by the party, and rake in the dough—the perfect plan!

Too bad Willow proved too good at her job.

Conscripted into the Support Corps where the Guild chooses who she parties with, she must break her back evading every death flag known to man while preserving the lives of the dumbest bands of screw-ups to walk the Nine Kingdoms.

"Willow! Thank goodness you're here! Can I borrow 2000 gald? I'll pay you back, I promise!"

"A-ahem! May I borrow your clothes again, young Willow? The slimes melted everything I had left..."

"Wear more armor? Nonsense, Willow. It will only slow me down. Very little could pierce my aura—!"

"Willow, please be a dear and guard the door while I fix up my hair and...work things out. D-Don't look at me like that! I have a reputation as a Saintess to keep!"

Sometimes, Willow wondered if its not too late to reincarnate elsewhere.

There are few things quite so potent as the resentment of someone tasked with keeping a bunch of idiots alive in the face of danger. This story nails the attitude of someone so deadpan, overworked, yet still caring in her own way.
The cast of idiots is quite good, too. You have the guy who just wants to look good in front of the girls, the protagonist/mentor pair, and the noblesse oblige types. They all have a compulsive urge to throw themselves into danger, and it's great watching the protagonist drag their butts out of the fire.

This is a nice story so far. It has LitRPG elements that play into characterization, but they don't seem to be as narratively-important as many other systems in the genre. IMO that's a good thing because having plot progression be replaced with an XP bar leads to slop. The characters are interesting and tropey. The protagonist views the world through a JRPG-lense which seems appropriate and provides more ways to display the whole isekai background of the protagonist. There is relatively a lot of build up for events in the protagonist's backstory.
Excited to see where this goes, if it continues.

I found it on Rising stars and breezed through the available chapters. I don’t have anything negative to say at the moment.
I liked the characters the most, but the whole story is good. It was an enjoyable read that ended with surprise, since I thought I was reading a story that is published every day to get so far up on rising stars, maybe from an established author with a backlog on patreon, rather than a story that had not published a chapter for a month.
I think it has a lot of potential.

Very enjoyable, both the Mc and the side characters (especially the Mc, love her already), with several parts that made me laugh. It never feels like any chapter is simply filler, with each one advancing the plot in some way.
There miiight be some typos, but barely noticeable, plus, a little mistake never killed anybody.
All in all, a good, ongoing read (I didn't check the day the last chapter was posted, so when I reached it, I scared myself thinking it was dropped lmao, but no, it was just a skill issue from my part. Nothing to do with the novel per se, but I found it funny).
... Here should be the end of the review, but it seems that the advanced ones need more words, huh.
Nothing dark has happened yet in the novel, but some parts make me think about stuff hitting the fan soon(ish).
What I want to see more is about Mc's past in the magic school (... I'm bad remembering names, but if you know you know), but that's sure to come up someday, so it's cool.
If I had to say which side characters I like the most, it would be the Aire and Anne duo, with the guild master and his secretary behind.

I’m giving this novel five stars because it respects the readers imagination. There are many novels with many genres that have been tackled before. It’s known this is fantasy. It’s a reincarnation story. It’s a litrpg story. It’s a monster incursion type of story. It’s a weak government/guilds type of story. It’s a story with magic. And, other such comparisons. But, not really. These are revealed relative to the narrative and that’s what compels me to rate this novel highly. It really does ‘show’, not ‘tell’ the story. While there’s not an order/chaos arc to be seen this alright since there is an implicit comedic tone. The main actor is very much so relatable to the reader since meta analysts of reincarnation topics rise in consideration of whatever scene is currently drawing out.
The actors are unique and well thought out. The style is consistent and leads the reader well into the next expectation. The novel is thoroughly cleaned of grammar inconsistencies or spelling errors. It is abundantly clear the author has given a lot of care into this specifically.
I appreciate that the chapters are super long. Other readers may have a preference for shorter ‘bite-sized’ amounts to consume. I’d rather read longer chapters as it tends to feel more engaging. My viewpoint is skewed though since I majorly read web novels instead of physical novels. There’s many ways to write and in this presentation I’d say the longer chapters are fitting.
Upon writing this I’ve read up to current release (chapter 8). It’s going great and I look forward to where it goes next.

It's not often that I feel compelled to offer a review beyond simply giving stars.
The Most Violent White Mage more than earns a breach in that habit though!
I'll preface my exuberant recommendation of this fiction with the notice that there are some flaws. Past and present tense are at times misused, and in some ways sentence structure feels stitled, briefly taking me out of my reading flow. I'm not execessively hung up on issues like that, though, so I'll move on to some things that I think will be helpful to anyone considering spending time on reading this.
The story works off of standard isekai tropes in such a way as to satirize them without going too far off the rails to be ridiculous. WIllow, the main character, is a White Mage (healer) whom has an excellent demeanor somewhere between mother-hen and long-suffering and begrudging ally. Her capabilities are strong, but not as yet completely overpowered, and as the story developes (as of chapter 007, in any case) she has demonstrated that she leans equally on intelligent decision making and preparation as she does on raw skill.
It helps that all the shenanigans that she has to put up with aren't innately contrived, they feel real enough yet still lean on tropes in such a way that they'll feel familiar to those aware of the genre. Combat is smooth, details are just enough to keep you appraised and able to paint the rest of the picture yourself.
Before I start rambling further, I'll simply state: The Most Violent White Mage is most certainly worth a read and your time. Thank you Author! I hope you continue this work!

Usually, stories of this quality have a patreon, and even then (in my opinion) it's a step above alot of them. I was prepared to drop all the money for a few extra chapters. But no patreon, much disappointment.
The MC, Willow the white mage, is a freaking mood! And so done with everything it's honestly relatable. It's still early in the story and already she's a favorite of mine. She's competent and skilled but definitely not OP and also very aware she's not the MC. (Even if she is)
The side characters are all great too. They feel fresh and dynamic, like actual characters.
So far the worldbuilding is cool as hell. A perfect mix of video game-esk and real underlying dread. Comedies good too, actually made me laugh a few times.
There's a reason I gave this 5 stars. I love it and hope it goes all the way.

An entertaining and enjoyable comedy of a tale about a singular individual who believes herself to have one thing over everyone else: common sense.
It's not to say that every character is a bone-headed moron, but many seem to be in the habit of getting way in over their heads. From the main protagonist's point of view everyone to her seems either overly eccentric, or particularly lacking good sense, or sometimes both at once. Any exceptions to those extremes being few and far between.
Conversely, the characters around the protagonist view her to be standoffish to the point of rude, or overly cautious, even if she ends up being in the right.
It creates an interesting dichotomy as both sides interact with each other, and navigate the world around them in a way that gets them both to the next dawn.
Looking forward to updates in the future.

Honestly there are a few things that could use a revision in this book, such as the chaotic fight scenes and also the grammar. That said, I had a ton of fun reading this and was just giggling my way through most of it, so I am really looking forward to more chapters

I'm really enjoying the story so far and it looks like it'll continue to be good. The characters are fun, tho there are a number of short POV bits. It gets back to the MC quick enough tho.
My only issue is that there is some editing that needs doing. The author doesn't seem used to 3rd person writing and the tense of words tends to slip up. Usually with something like "she's" instead of "she was"
    Other than that it's great
