    This story is a bit hard to follow as the setting and the characters become a bit distracting because it bounces between events without ever getting a firm foundation. The back and forth continues and the telling aspects paint for a troubling picture, but the ending is so abrupt and unexpected that it kind of floors the reader. I find that it makes it difficult to tell if the author was serious about this piece because of it.
