After fifteen years as a mercenary, Kain Asheld bought a farm. Ten acres of promising agricultural land in Tillwind village, complete with a creaky house, an overgrown field, and a peculiar system that operates on trust where people just... leave money in unlocked boxes overnight.

The former Silver Hand isn't quite sure what to do with trustworthy neighbors, the chatty delivery boy, or the fact that his most pressing enemy is now a stubborn water pump. His new property comes with rotting floorboards, a legion of mice, and endless repairs that his sword arm isn't particularly suited for. But it also comes with good soil, quiet mornings, and villagers who care more about the weather than his scars.
