Description

Guy likes shooting. Now, he sucks. Then, a mirror lets him not suck... maybe.

Deputy William was the best shot in the small town of Easy Breeze... until he found himself with an injury to his dominant hand.

Now, without his greatest talent, William finds himself spiraling down into broken dreams and ambitions.

But, with the help of a mysterious mirror, he may be able to reclaim what he once was.

He just has to make a deal with the man in his mirror–a reflection of himself with a reverse injury.

Overall I really enjoyed the story. Grammar wise I don’t think I found any major faults with the entirety of the story. Regarding the style and the story I really liked how the story is written with a style that is very straight to the point. No words being minced is what I’m basically trying to say. Regarding elements I believe could’ve been improved upon I believe the story would benefit from more usage of the five senses and the descriptive details regarding locations and items within said area. Little things like that just help give the story more of an atmosphere and really helps immerse the reader. I definitely feel like there could’ve been more time spent with the evil doppelgänger, even potentially more time spent in the reverse world. I think the cannibal reveal could’ve been saved for the reverse world. For example we could’ve discovered this after the pair explored the town or even inside evil William’s house with William stumbling onto Bob in the basement then. The story as a whole is fun, the characters are likeable considering we don’t spend an awful lot of time with everyone besides the main character. Plus I love stories with gunslingers. Anyways in conclusion it was a good read and I’d love to see more from the author in the future.
