This isn't your generic brought into another world kinda story. No this is the real stuff. You can feel the author's work that went into this. The character doesn't just pop into another world for some adventure. The character feels, and thinks rationally. The story progresses slowly but surely. Well done.

Keep up the good work. I really like the character. I really want to encourage you 'thedawntraveller'. These are just some thoughts...do with them what you will.
Keep your 'mistaken chapter' notes use it make story arcs/perhaps the dream level arc chapter popping up in intervals between the action and spread it out. The pace is perfect and the build is edifying. I can really empathize with the characters and imagine having the same experience in another world he really does belong to.
I would suggest something like this...
Taking his experience on Earth, all his future battles may have the feeling of fighting to get to know himself in a world where he can really get out and make discoveries. Unlike the repression of his first life he can make his place in the world, all his earth life experience now becoming valuable as he is brought out of his shell, his nature to fight being his path to know himself and feel that he has gained a family, a family he did not have on the Earth: OR maybe he is destined to not have a family at all, and his experience on Earth is mirrored in finding his place as the most powerful magus of origin. His new family of villagers may be taken from him in this cruel world.
The first chapters show him especially discovering the feeling of nurturing place he develops at the beginning fueling his fight to find his true place! Seems like that place may end up being at the top!
His suffering on Earth preparing him for the challenges and the pain to come and what he must rise above. His unique insights from his warrior guardian and earth experience enabling him to reach the pinnacle of power.
How did he end up being an orphan - were they affected by the enemies of this world. Does he end up protecting worlds! IS he connected to the origin?
All this and more still to be answered in THE MAGUS OF ORIGIN!

Pretty well written, only a few minor mistakes.
Love that the author is taking his time and not rushing the plot.
    Can't wait for more :)

One of the more interesting stories I've seen so far. The story really captures you with the way the MC is summoned and how he runs into society.
The MC's reaction to being transported to another world is one of my favourites. He acts in a way that I feel most of us would. Instead of immediatly yelling out "status", he finds himself in an unknown forest. Being attacked by monsters he contemplates where the hell he is, while periodically checking his phone for service. When he finally runs into goblins, he immediatly thinks they're some sort of alien species.
The MC also does seem to be powerful but at the same time not perfect. He has a supposedly sad past, but he isn't one of those annoying edgelords "i hate everyone!!" types. All in all I really like this guy.
I only read 6 chapters so I can't say much on the story itself but it has me completely hooked with what we've learned so far.
As for the grammar there's no complaints from me, it's readable and the author really goes out of his way to describe things so we get a clear picture in our mind.
I definetly suggest giving this a read

I've really enjoyed this story. The MC is likable, not a whiny brat, or an OP white knight. He has flaws, he has history, he seems like a real life person. The story is very interesting, I can't wait to see where it goes. The author gives good descriptions, so it's easy to picture in your mind. And I've not seen any grammat mistakes, the story flows well, very well written!

The novel was pretty good to pass the time till I found a longer novel yet for some reason couldn't get past the 10th chapter.
Although this is probably related to some feature I won't worry about it the author did a great job adding an interesting amount of background to the novel.

Of the hundreds of fictions I've read on RR, this is in my top 10 most tragically dropped fictions. Would love to see where this was going.

    Hi.
I read the first two chatpers and i have to say that i like very much the introduction of the MC. A good balance between telling and showing about the MC.
At last a MC that is not perfect, with his issues and past... I really want to know how the MC will face the new world and how will you portrait it.
I apreciate when someone really has respect about writing and really try to deliver something worth reading.
    I subscribe!!!
I will complement this review with more chapters ;)

    Reviewed at chapter 8.
    Sorry I can't read this..
The reason being, the MC is not OK.
The MC is introduced as a person who has previously worked thru anger issues with the help of a beloved sensei. Why then have the first 8 chapters shown him as an emotional mess?
The sensei passed away previously, long before the beginning of the story. Why is he in the grieving process now?
An initial shock at being transported to another world is fine, but by chapter 8, and more than a month later, he is still acting like he is in shock and holding on to an idiot ball.
Also the MC is incredibly inconsiderate to the villagers. He acknowledges to himself that he is mooching of the villagers hospitality, but when they give him a pick and try to make him work, he breaks the pick. Back in chapter 1, the MC is shown as a self-sufficient homesteader and now we see he can't use a pick. Also he fully emo at the time for no really understandable reason.
Apart from the characterization of the MC the story is good. There is an original  twist to the summoned to another world plot device. The grammar and style are also fine.
