"Holy shit! This world has Minecraft mechanics!"
Jack Slater has died in the dumbest way possible. Lucky for him, he is given another chance in life by being reincarnated into another world. It is a fantasy world where dragons want to eat him, demons want to kill him, and hot elf women want to sleep with him.
Okay, so maybe that last part isn't entirely true. But hey, at least he is given a unique ability to magically craft whatever tools or items he can think of.
With his power, skills, and wits, Jack will navigate this treacherous world, making lots of friends and even more enemies along the way. Not wanting to squander this second chance, he vows to live a fulfilling life in this world, no matter the obstacles he might face. Let's hope he survives long enough for that to happen.

- ScruffedUpRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The Magical Craftsman is a half-parody on Isekai's, it follows the main character getting Isekai'd, literally right after finally getting the chance to not die a virgin while having cancer, then gets reincarnated by a literal talking truck. +1 points for making me giggle to myself while playing Hardspace: Shipbreaker.
Style:
The story quickly set itself up as a comedy, and it follows it through. You don't really have to worry about the book taking itself too seriously or suddenly tone shifting into something else, it has a theme and it sticks with it. I have no issues with the style, hell I have no issues with the story either really. 5/5
Story:
The story follows ol' Reincarnated MC, he gets sent to a new world by Truck-Kun while on the way to finally get laid, bummer. The story is a comedy, and unlike some comedies that play at humor and act dark and gritty all the time (looking at you marvel), even at what most stories would have as dark and depressing the story keeps itself upbeat as well as it can. My only real issue with the story itself is that the chapters are really short. This is more of a personal complaint than most issues one would have with a story, but a few of the chapters drop below 2k words, and most of them are only 2k words. Like I said this is more personal than anything and for a more comedic type book smaller chapters might be able to help keep the humor fresh, but it can also cut down on the amount of content you can put out per chapter. 4.5/5, just a personal thing honestly with the chapters, but I am the reviewer so.... yeah I guess.
Grammar:
The story pulls the comedy card rather hard when it comes to it's grammar, albeit its slight and not something that is required to be fixed. There also happen to be a few places in the stories where a comma, an extra ~ or redoing a sentence might help slightly. This is improved later into the chapters, by chapter 20 most of the issues I can see with grammar are completely gone, so a few touch ups in t - HWPerfidyRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Story: We follow the story of Jack as he is reincarnated into a new world following an ironic death. The world is like a mix of Minecraft and Don’t Starve. The story is fairly predictable but interesting, with Jack being able to use his Minecraft powers to interact with the world.
I was a bit put off by the worldbuilding. I found it difficult to suspend my belief with how nothing seems to make sense. I know this is a magic world, but the way the societies run makes it feel as if they would crumble on their own if put into action. They seem to be overgeneralised, each character within a caricature of their race’s “traits”. The elves are snooty. The dwarves are racist. The humans are cowardly. It doesn’t feel like there’s more to them other than to be the butt of a joke.
Style: The style is simple but comfortable to read. There are a bunch of jokes sprinkled into the prose, and while some may be awkward, they do add a lighthearted touch to the story. I personally did not find them funny, but I’m sure there are some who do.
Character: I would have to say that characters are the weakest point of this work. They’re filled with personality, maybe too much. It goes past the point of charismatic and into obscene. All the side character elves are snooty stereotypes, with the exception of the ones that appear in chapter 23 or so. Character reactions are exaggerated and over the top. Jack is creepy and immature. Dingo seems like he’s supposed to be confident, but comes off as shallow. Truck kun is insulting. Sometimes it’s acceptable for characters to be over the top when it comes to comedy but this is a bit too much.
Grammar: Grammar mistakes concerning tenses are consistently present.
Overall: This is a fun and light hearted story. It makes an interesting little read as long as you don’t take it too seriously and flow with the comedic tone. - AlexZinaRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The story starts slowly, with Jack in the hospital being visited by friends. It gives us a glimpse into his condition, his psychological worries and social relationships. In my opinion the first chapter suffers a bit from lack of action, and from some sentences where the same thing or feeling is described twice, without adding much.
In the second chapter we get to meet the coworker Jack has a crush on. Things escalate really fast here, and to me their interaction seems unnatural, as Jack comes off in a predatory way, and most girls would just run for the hills with such a bomb dropped on them. Chapter three was my least favorite one, as the reciprocation of feelings with this setup and with what we learned of Jack so far seemed to be unrealistic. In chapter 4, we have the beginning of the setup for the rest of the story, but dialogue here felt unnatural to me and the humor falling a bit flat. The rest of the story I read so far progresses in a similar fashion, with tons of references to popular culture which can come across as a bit excessive and try-hard.
Grammar: minor errors spotted, but nothing preventing understanding. There is some shift in the tenses which can get a bit confusing and inconsistent. Italics are sometimes used incorrectly like in Is he experiencing death right now?
Style: perspective sometimes shifts to other characters inner thoughts/reactions, which could be better demonstrated through their actions rather than being spelled out loud.
