At the base of the Belsar cliffside lies a small village, built on the edge of an ancient, ruined city. Living within, forced to overcome the struggles of the desert beyond, are the mages. What remains of a once proud race is little more than a handful of downtrodden souls. Stuck between the high walls of the palisade, the beasts of the desert, and whatever may lie withing the city, the mages eke out a meager existence.

It's said that Hell awaits at the top of Belsar, but one mage and her friends can't help but wonder if that's true. When the village is suddenly attacked by an unknown enemy, they decide it's time to find out. The elders warn of a wicked king that once waged war on the mages, casting them out to the ruins below.

What really happened in the world above, and is it the world they've been warned about? Follow Lyra and her companions as they venture out into the unknown world that surrounds them, where they'll find dreams and nightmares, truth and betrayal. An epic adventure that will span an entire world awaits within the Magefall Chronicles.

    While the story, from when I made this review, doesn’t go past three chapters (including the prologue), I have enjoyed what I read so far. The story does not have any major flaws, and I was able to read without having to go back and make sense of things. I’m really excited to see where this goes. Keep up the good work.

    Although there is only one chapter out so far, the author immediately drew me into the story with the beautiful imagery and the depth of the characters. Even though they lead lives that are nothing like mine, I can still understand the actions and reactions of the characters and feel connected to them on a personal level.
    Beautifully written, and I'm excited to see where this goes!

    As of reading, this book only has a four chapters up, including the prologue. While I disliked the font and the random words with the capital letters. I am curious as to how the story is going to develop. I also wonder how much of the story is planned ahead. For a more advanced review, I need a few more chapters to properly learn who the main characters are and where the story will be going. There were a few grammar problems I have found, but I am sure these will be fixed soon.
    Keep up the work and I will be waiting for more chapters.
