The Madness of Yilheim

Description
Valerius Delindor did not choose Yilheim.
He and his siblings are torn from Earth and thrown into a world that does not forgive weakness — a world of ancient races, ruined thrones, and rulers who erase entire bloodlines to preserve their power.
From the moment they arrive, survival is not guaranteed.
Monsters hunt them. Kingdoms distrust them. Criminal factions exploit them. And somewhere above it all, the rulers of Yilheim watch — because Valerius carries something they thought was lost to history.
In Yilheim, strength is born from will. Through Bravo, Valerius begins to unlock the power hidden within him. But Bravo is only the beginning.
Deep within forgotten ruins lies a relic once feared by kings — the Kingdom Seed, a throne-tier power capable of commanding ranked spirits from another realm.
Spirits are not servants.
They have pride. Hierarchy. Memory.
They can refuse him.
They can betray him.
They can die.
As forces move to erase his lineage forever, Valerius must survive betrayal, separation, and horrors that would break lesser men — or become something Yilheim will never be able to control.
Because in this world, madness is not a weakness.
It is a path.

- ReadallRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I didn’t expect it to be this good cuz the story starts off slow but trust me, it’s gets better, way better. As the story goes on, the stakes rise dramatically and the story takes a thrilling turn. It’s filled with action and has vivid world building. Also the setting is unpredictable. Though it starts slow, stick with it, it’s got cool characters.
- MaggisauceRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is Interesting and the characters are original. I like the idea that you don’t focus on the earthers my h or give them some OP powers. We get to were how weak humans are. I like the world and the way you described it, I could really imagine it.I look forward to the next chapters
- mrcbooksRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I’ll start with what works well, then offer a few light suggestions for polish.
What worked well:
Visceral Chaos and Intensity: The prologue plunges into relentless, multi-layered carnage with vivid brutality (severed limbs, shockwaves, mind-controlled horror), creating immediate epic stakes and a sense of overwhelming war.
Multiple Perspectives and Scope: Shifting viewpoints (elf king, leporid, telekinetic woman, red warrior, Valerius's tragedy) build a sprawling battlefield effectively, teasing factions, powers, and mysteries (Bravo bloodline).
Emotional Beats Amid Violence: Moments like the king's desperation, leporid's regret, and Valerius's forced betrayal add raw humanity, heightening tragedy without slowing momentum.
Mystery Hook: Subtle lore drops (Unbound/Ignir, ancient threats) and the pit fall cliffhanger promise deeper intrigue and character arcs.
Light suggestions:
Tighten repetitive violence descriptions: Echoed shockwaves, body-flinging, and gore could vary slightly for fresher impact without losing brutality.
Smooth quick POV transitions: Rapid shifts between characters work for chaos but could use subtle anchors (e.g., location cues) for clearer flow.
Polish minor phrasing/awkwardness: Some sentences feel rushed or repetitive (e.g., multiple "boom" impacts); varying rhythm would heighten tension.
Clarify initial character introductions: Early figures (e.g., king, leporid) intrigue but could ground faster with brief distinguishing traits.
Overall: A brutal, high-octane fantasy prologue that immerses in chaotic war and personal tragedies, blending visceral action with tantalizing mysteries. The multi-threaded carnage hooks powerfully, promising epic scope and emotional depth—it's a raw, intense opener with a strong visceral pull.
