- summerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a wonderful, charming and engrossing story. Sometimes the author also includes character portraits, which are well done. I'm still fairly new to the genre of cultivation stories. I like LitRPG and enjoy crossover/isekai plotlines.
This story ticks those boxes and still manages to have a strong slice-of-life pace, with a goodly dose of redemptive introspection and a touch of humor. Not enough introspection to dull the overall optimistic sense of wonder and exploration in this unique and magical environment which is rife with good hearted people, an occasional strong villain, amazing animal friends and a lot of ongoing growth and hope.
I read a lot on Royal Road and am following more than 25 titles regularly. This story starts with a bit of a stutter, but I quickly found it to be a favorite and am neglecting others stories to binge through the available chapters.
I have no idea where we are headed, but can't wait to read each chapter. I have not been disappointed. - hopet123Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Usually I don’t like these slice of life cultivation stories, but this is just so wholesome. For most of these types of stories, I just get this sense of condescension from the main characters about other cultivators ways of life, I don’t feel that here. The story gripped me and made me care about the characters in a way I don’t for a lot of other books.
- AllAverageAverageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The only thing this novels suffers is it's title :D
Nothing to criticise here and every thing to praise. The characters, progression, style and story, everything is just amazing.
A very interesting and unique take on System in a Cultivation World.
This is a true hidden gem and I'm glad to have read it. Give it a try and you won't find anything wrong here. - DeBoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The character is isekai'd to Xianxia/Wuxia world. An immersive world that delivers a real sense of character struggles, fears, and conflicts. The confusion and dismay are well executed and I get a pretty good feel for Leo and the spirit beast. I could picture the characters' character. The wit, bitterness, and emotional tempo of the characters', especially Leo and the spirit beast, are consistent and their actions follow a logical course based on who they are.
The grammar is all structurally sound and easy to read. Very few if any grammatical errors. I don't remember seeing any but if there were they must have been minor enough to gloss over.
You get a true sense of the environment and the world at large. You can get a real feel for the environment the characters are moving through. The picture of some characters like the crow and invaders themselves suffers a little, but it's relatively minor. The style is very immersive and it is easy to get sucked into this world. It's easy to see where this story is headed but you can't be sure it's not your wishful thinking. Example for me is the hope that Leo's sister is somehow involved in his isekai. The story shines in the presentation of scene work, the story Leo tells about his sister left me feeling depressed. I swear the author must experienced this in some way.
The end of every chapter has me looking forward to what comes next. - ItsholtzRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is so good. I am dying for the next chapters. By far my favorite story I’ve read on Royal Road. I love the animals. I love Leo’s take on everything. I love how there’s just the right amount of humor - I laughed out loud at one part, which is pretty hard to do with a novel! Extremely well written - it’s like reading an edited and published novel.
Thanks for writing this!! - KevosmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story just brings you into the authors world from day one. Once i started reading i just couldn't put it down. Well written with a few grammar errors, feels almost like it has been professionally edited. Well thought out characters, that are more than just 2d cutouts. Plenty of fighting to keep the story going without going overboard on the action.
- LeoluchMikadoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Keep the good work,
This book is incredibly engaging, filled with captivating characters and a storyline that keeps you hooked. is an absolute masterpiece, captivating from start to finish. Its compelling characters, rich storytelling, and thought-provoking themes create an unforgettable reading experience. Every page draws you deeper, leaving you inspired, moved, and eager for more. A must-read! - Lord_of_AvalonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This not a story about pursuing power, it in fact the embodiment of the saying there are those do not seek power yet it is given to them. It is about learning ones self. Healing and begeting kindness and compassion in a world where little to none is found.
- LucassRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of the best novels I’ve read on here. It manages a really nice balance of a kind of slice of life type pacing but with enough action and plot progression that I never got bored. Unlike many of the cultivation novels I’ve read I did not find myself getting tired of frustrated with long training arcs etc etc that can sometimes feel repetitive.
I look forward authors return and am excited to see where the story goes next - Vidda LihiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a really refreshing take on the genre. It doesnt force any world building and shows it directly through the story.
You can expect a system, its done really well and doesnt hog the read time, only really coming in when necessary
Love that the animals are talking s#/t, and he hopes they aren't. Hope he never learns, almost.
Style is really well done, makes the unrelatable character relatable, and doesnt lean on any troupe for character narative, at least not ones ive seen. Style brings a lot of flavor to everything and it makes it easy to get engrossed in
Story is progressing at a really well thought out pace, progress isnt defined as ranking up so much as living and adapting to the world around the MC
Grammer left nothing to be missed, its a free webnovel. Maybe two typos in a whole 30 some chapters? Thats pretty dang good
Leo as a character is great. I love how he's written into the world smoothly and is met with curiousity and acceptance. Which leads to a foundation instead of a power rush. A lot of his interaction with the world is defined by the impact his humble and kind gestures cause in people lives, and its nice to see that showcased in his character
So I usually dont review stuff, im more of a binge read, catch up, follow, easy 5 star click, and carry on, BUT this story is criminally underviewed. I could not recommend this author and their content enough, i just found this two days ago and couldnt stop reading, i hope more people get this recommended because i cant wait to see where the plot goes
please tell me thats enough words...
