The Lord of The Tower

Description
Summary: A series of catastrophic events brought civilization to its knees in a world on the edge of collapse. No one knows exactly how it happened, but it all unfolded in a single, devastating day—the day when a hand fell lifeless and stars plummeted from the sky. Empires crumbled, and a once-advanced world was obliterated. Clouds shrouded the sky, swallowing the moon, and the earth grew restless. Isolation gripped the vast lands, and the soil refused to bear fruit. Death claimed many, families were torn apart, bloodlines ended, and the extensive history of the world was lost to oblivion.
This is the history left by the ancestors from the year of the Great Reset, a bloody year marked by dwindling populations that transformed a once-safe world into a perilous one. The fall of human empires signaled the end of an era of intelligence and power.
The events of that time remain shrouded in mystery, but following the Great Reset, the world underwent drastic changes. The weather grew colder, the moon reappeared, and animals once harmless rose to power. Heavy snow blanketed the earth, concealing the remnants of a lost civilization. For thousands of years, the world lay in a deep slumber.
Zarek often dreams of that fateful day. In his nightmares, stars fall from the sky, leveling entire areas and erasing everything within a few miles. A red cloud of smoke rises into the air, a haunting reminder of the devastation that once was. These dreams, vivid and terrifying, leave him waking in a cold sweat, haunted by a past he never lived but feels deeply connected to.
This story takes place after the Great Reset, an event that nearly wiped out the human race. Shrouded in mystery, Zarek embarks on a journey to escape a crime he never committed. Aimless and desperate, he seeks to uncover the secrets of the old world, hoping to use this knowledge as a foundation to build a new future.
Note: This is my first book/novel. I've read many books, but I'm not sure if I can match the same quality. I'm a university student about to enter medical school, but I will do my best to update this as frequently as possible. Updates will be nearly daily. I would greatly appreciate any feedback—leave comments, nasty ones that criticize me to the core are the best, they will help me improve. Reach out, let me know what you like and dislike.
I will edit this heavily as I go along, so if you don't like it yet, let me know, and I might change it depending on what is being asked. This is indeed LitRPG, but it starts late, after the 10th chapter, so take it slow and give it a chance.
Please also do me a great favor and rate this novel. Your support will motivate me to write more and post more! There will be some corny parts, I incorporated some poems in there, and the dialog is mid... but let me tell you this, I will do my best to improve as I continue to write more.
Updates: They will not be frequent, mostly coming in once a week.

- Darkness_withinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It starts strong; the dialog needs some polishing, but it is good enough for a new author. It gets edited a lot, so there is at least some work being put in. I hope that continues.
The names are also unique; I have never seen these names before. I liked that the main character is named Zarek in the hopes that he would shine. The plot is unique. The grammar is good, but I notice some mistakes every now and then. Overall, this is a great book on its way toward success.
The overall style is also special. The characters are unique, especially the main character. There is a lot of room for improvement. It gets corny with the poems, but it's something new that I don't see many books incorporating, so good for it. Other than that, I feel like that concludes my review. Correct me if you don't like what I said!
I know the author, so I'm a little biased, but I do encourage others to correct me and give a rating themselves. I'm getting tired of having to write a review. I wonder when I will reach two hundred words. I finished everything I wanted to address!! - Calliope The AstralRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Overall: It is an engaging story set in a very interesting world, and I look forward to seeing how it continues.
Style: The style of the story is very interesting. The author makes use of shorter paragraphs, many of them just one or two sentences long, to set the tone of the piece and add suspense. There were times where I felt this was overdone, especially in the first chapter, but the majority of the time I liked the atmosphere it created.
Story: The story is based on a very interesting premise, where our modern world is reverted back to a more primitive version. The cause of this change is unknown by the characters, and I look forward to the further uncovering of this. The plot itself is begun well in the first few chapters, setting up interesting points which I am sure will pay off later.
Grammar: There are a few mistakes with the grammar, though these don't often take away from the story. A personal gripe for myself is the overuse of exclamation marks. There are times where ever sentence ends with one or more exclamation marks, which I think detract rather than add to the story.
Character: The characters we have seen so far are very enjoyable. They are interesting and dynamic, and are all very unique. This can especially be seen with the Elders and their interactions with each other. The main character Zarek has a lot of room to grow but is till a fascinating character at the beginning.
