TL;DR pitch:  Progression fantasy with a goblin mc who wants to learn magic and make friends.

Non overpowered mc.

A big world that will start small before expanding.

Light horror elements.

Varro is running.  Both from his family’s past and towards his desired future.

To get there he needs magic.  But even in the empire, where access to the god towers, to the gifting of magic, is a civic right, his family name haunts him.

Varro only has one option.  The water tower, a place braved only by the desperate and the foolhardy.

Varro hopes he isn’t foolhardy,but one has to be desperate to brave the realm of a mad god.
